  • how do u know what partition size to use? and do you have to re-flash clockwork every time you flash a new rom?

  • does it work for Incredible s? :)

  • I've installed magdlr 1.13 and now im stuck at boot screen, and i can't get to magdlr menu, or connect with my pc to flash anything else. Anyone have any idea what can i do?

  • i cant install the new magdlr1.13 over the magdlrd1.11, what am i doing wrong? i have android 2.2 but i love the new cyanogenmod7, can anyone help?

  • Everything works for me until I get to the usb flasher step. When i enter the usb flasher mode on my phone, nothing happens.

  • i did everything right but it did not boot into recover... any idea as to why that is?

  • Great video!

  • Do I really need this to use Nand Android??

  • Nice video but you just forget to tell WHERE to find initrd.gz and zImage in which archive?!?!!?.

So this is useless. I can`t read your mind.

I need to waste my time to finding it. Next time include that ALSO on your post on forum. I`m new here, so if you know that doesn`t mean that ALL ppl know. :(

  • @solarfox2010 LOL new CWM dont come with initrd.gz and zImage anymore.. that is belong to old style of install.. just connect and flash using DAF

  • @shujuan5210 We flash it and it`s working :) Found latest solution on another site. Thanx :P

  • Hi, can someone tell me what I should do if I get this error

    Error Description: USB init failed

    Info: .\RSPL\RSPL.cpp (723)

    Thanks! :)

  • @superjetplanes run as administrator. cheers

  • hello can someone tell me how to install clockwork steps...

i have exist nand android and i dont want to lose it.. so what i do ?

  • @13angelba13 if you install clockwork it will wipe your nand android. its a one time sacrifice if you just use CWM roms from now on. Plus you can back them up using the Backup option in the CWM recovery

  • @gfurr1 oo :( thanks.. soo i make backup i install cwm and then i restore it?? from then when i want to install updates from cwm i have to make backup first?? or only i install updates?

    thnaks you very much :D

  • @gfurr1 how do u get that copy to sd card root folder,.

  • not working for me at all. everything went smooth until i had to boot from ad sd. From there the rom i downloaded didn't load up just got stuck at the screen(jaws MIUI developers with the joker face and a Adroid card in his hand.).

  • One question I have is how this affects booting off SD builds? I previously had installed an SD Android build when I had my stock WM 6.5 installed. Then later on I installed magldr and CWM, and installed a NAND Android build. From there I was able to run both nand and SD depending on which I wanted. I was also able to go to CWM menu from AD Recovery option, but now after installing another CWM, I can only get to CWM through Boot AD SD if I set the SD directory to .

  • I get rapitool.dll missing :/

  • @joshv06 make sure you have the usb drivers installed. Download Microsoft Windows Mobile Device Center which contains the drivers for your phone. You can google them but i found them on microsofts website Hopefully this helps.

  • @gfurr1 Thank you, I did just that and was able to install CWM 150mb. Thanks so much!

  • after install this the first time ... do i need to do it over again to reflash to other rom?

  • @shujuan5210 once you flash the recovery, it stays there unless you flash a normal NAND rom. Just stick with CWM .zip roms and wipe your phone through the recovery before flashing the new Rom.

  • will this work for HD2 Honeycomb?

  • @justinlee1989 should, as long as its a CWM .zip format. I dont have my HD2 anymore, so im not entirely sure.

  • Thanx

  • how do you remove the nand rom now?

for example if i want to set wp7 or another nand rom on it?

    thanks for the great vid

    sallal

  • @xXsallalXx should just be able to flash the Nand Rom right over it, but keep in mind, it will remove the Recovery.

  • Nevermind. I found how. lol

  • What if I want to revert to factory windows 6.5 I tried doing the update through the USB but I could not. Help! Windows Mobile didnt recognize my device

  • im stuck on the recovery screen help please

  • I Have Issue : SD KERNEL OPEN FAILED...

How Can I Solved This Error Msg ???

    Thanks

  • @allencjh if you used the ClockworkMod Recovery v1.3 then you have to select AD Recovery and not Boot AD SD, that should do the trick

  • @ravonos Thanks mate, that did help me. :)

  • Hey gfurr1. Thanks for posting this video. It's awesome how people like you share things like this to help us N00bs out. Keep up the good work. :)

  • If you install this then Windows Mobile is totally gone?

  • If you install this then Windows Mobile is totally gone?

  • what are the differences between the 150M, 250M and 400M partitions layouts ?

  • Good stuff guys. usually read forums but saw this vid on xda to help me get clockwork on. saved me lots of time cause I'm at work. Gotta have clockwork if you want to do any android flashing. About to flash HyperDroidGBX onto NAND. Gonna do some benchmarks against my vibrant, G2, and Nexus One. See how it truly compares. might even benchmark running old HyperDroid what was it 1.6 from SD. This actually brought my HD2 back out to test the NANDroids. Thanks again.

  • hey dude got any idea on how to update my magdlr to 1.3? im on 1.1 and im not supported and everytime i try to put on magdlr 1.3 (via usb flasher) i get that either a) all the way to the reboot, but im still on 1.1 b) some errors before flashing even begins, whats going on?! any ideas?

  • I tried and after install from sd card, when I reboot the system doesn't load. I've downloaded 150M, 250M and 400M partitions layouts and none of them solved the problem. Only the final step is not working. I've tried Nexus HD2 gingerbread rom and Stock gingerbread MDJ rom. The fist one keep restarting and the other stucks in the loading screen. What do I have to do?

  • @fanooo1 If you have ActiveSync for WinMO, try to uncheck the "Allow USB connections" from menu. This should solve your problem flashing your HD2

  • can i use both nand rom & zip-rom??

    thanks for the video tutorial

  • Great Job!

  • hey do you must have a empty sd card

  • Does this create a partition on nand or sd?

when the partition is created does it wipe everything on the drive (nand or sd)

or is initrd the partition itself?

Any help please someone, just dont want to install this and lose everthing, as i have my rom setup just as i want it.

This will work MIUI rom wont it? any nand rom with magldr, is this rite also?

  • what's the name of the song

  • @CrypticNS Black and Yellow - Wiz Khalifa

    Taylor Gang or Die!

Also, Great Video...getting the hang of this Android NAND on my HD2!

  • Hey, thanks for this. I'm not exactly a noob, but this is my first time working with clockwork recovery. You made it even more simple than I thought!

  • can i do it like this.just install MGLDR and install Clockwork Mod Recovery only.and im not gonna install any NAND Rom.im just gonna put some Rom Zip on my sd card.?.thanks bro =)

  • Thank you.

  • Nice video. You did a great job.

  • i am stuck on the htc logo screen :{

  • @jcoby123 did you flash the MAGLDR first?

  • @jcoby123

Same problem :/ Please help us, guys :)

  • @jcoby123 you have to remove your sim card lock in order to boot, but you should try out the new nand builds instead :)

  • @jcoby123

    me too

  • i am stuck on the htc logo screen :{

  • Oh damn, I guess that explains why i couldn't restore my NAND backup from DAF! So it's back to the drawing board for me yay :(

  • @BlaGGah yeah, but this method will allow you to make NANDROID backups of your ROM-ZIPS and that makes it more convenient than NAND alone.

  • how do i come back to my original rom (nand).? thanks man good vid

  • @markz510 you can just flash it like you originally did with the 4. USB FLASHER option on MAGLDR. Keep in mind that will wipe the partitions that the Rom-Zip method put on there and you will lose your Recovery. You will also be back to where you started.

  • Got it, thanx for the help.

  • i was goin to make a vid to lol u beat me to it

  • Will this backup nand roms that where not originally in .zip format or is it only limited for the two there.

Great Vid by the way =-)

  • @x2SIKxDelucious when you flash the DAF when installing the recovery it will delete your current NAND rom so I dont think it will be able to back up a normal NAND rom. Just use Rom-Zip builds now, they will be the new standard for NAND. Two more showed up on XDA while I was uploading this video, which shows that the devs are really gonna focus on these.
