Except the DOE study in 2006 shows our existing offpeak power can power 84% of our cars today if we switched them to PHEVs (in reality it will take more than 20 years and we'll probably still be unable to switch all our cars to EVs or PHEVs even if we started today).

Saving the environment for the rich. Except for the fact that the power grid couldn't sustain a whole lot of electric vehicles without an upgrade.

Except the DOE study in 2006 shows our existing offpeak power can power 84% of our cars today if we switched them to PHEVs (in reality it will take more than 20 years and we'll probably still be unable to switch all our cars to EVs or PHEVs even if we started today).
People tend to forget we have a lot of generating capacity that goes unused at night which is perfect for EVs and PHEVs to use.

Compared to the total number of cars on the road nation wide, yes. But, compared to the number of electric cars currently on the road, 2 million is a hell of a lot.

Saving the environment so hypocrites like Al Gore can fly around the world in jets while preaching to the rest of us how despicable we are for leaving a "carbon footprint". I can only hope that the people will flip the bird at any gullible person they see in one of these Shitty E's.
