Troy isnt in Idaho it is in Oregon, far upper right hand corner. Tiny little burgon the far edge of nowhere. And I believe that John owned the Troy Inn. In the 70's when I lived over in that area thats pretty much all there was in troy. But, they used to throw the legendary "Troy Dance", a weekend longcapitol P party and John was rumoured to come and play now and again.
I live near Troy just inside of Idaho. We heard rumors John was living in Troy and would occasionally play in the local tavern. We thought of going often, but didnt' want to crash his private life.
Does anyone know when this was filmed? This looks like it might have been taped in the early eighties or late seventies in that 10 year span when he didn't record anything. Rare indeed.
it was, like the headline says, in 1987, in a little tavern.
from the 70's is nearly no material, except "Hoodoo" (the unreleased album from 1976) and an radio interview from KSAN in 1975 (very rare !, but interesting)
@MrCCRFan Oh wow...I guess it helps to read...(DUH!)...My apologies...Yeah Zombie really bombed. I did buy it but it was so mediocre compared to Centerfield that it's no surprise. There were a couple of good songs on Zombie but Centerfield gave me goosebumps the first time I heard it. He has attained legendary status now, so he can do no wrong. As long as he can get on stage, people will come.
i love john. he is god. i hate mexico cous he nevers comes with his wonderfull music. he is john an st cok and cosmo are shit under his feet. the just lived with johns talent
@lisabettan damn, look man !! you don#t know the full vid mate, and if you think its not him, then let your stupid comment for yourself ! every comment more that says this shi*** i get more angry.
You should think of, that you can be damn lucky that i upload it, that you can see it !
But tell me why do you think so much it's not John ? DO you think I, such a very big fan, would lie to other fans to get more clicks ?? I would never do this.
I hate this too.
And if you don't belive me, then ask other hardcore collectors...if you don't know the CCR-Fan-Heads, it's your problem, not mine.
wow, the crapy venues Fogerty had to play.....so glad he can play ccr music now...that being said, this is not an original CCR song, for those of you who dont know, im guessing thats why he could play this song in 87
@meddlepf1 man, this is a PRIVATE gig. the people who were there had luck. nobody payed for this !
he didnt play in 1986 CCR covers too ! not 1 song that had something to do with ccr - even not a bit.
BTW: on this gig he played CCR songs too !
look, he played in 1986 not ccr unes is why he didnt want that his creedence manager Saul Z. gets money for his gigs - because he hadn't (and hasn't) anymore the copyrights of them songs.
@renevis He met Julie 1 time before ! On the 1986 tour in a bar in Indiana (I guess after or before the Indianapolis concert) on the Eye Of The Zombie Tour.
I have heard this so. I guess myseld from John Fogerty (he sad it in a radio interview !)
This makes me even more a fan of John Fogerty! I know a little of their history and I know how he hard worked to get where he is today. John you're my hero!
i've seen Lodi on that same "show" sometime ago...and i also saw a video of that show where John was changing the strings of his guitar, and he looked like to be "a bit" drunk...hahaha!!
Thanks for sharing!!!
...and, if you got the whole record, please upload it.

@lisabettan MM Offended not so hard, it's okay tat you reply a message back to me.
I know some fans from Sweden, and they KNOW ABOUT Rock 'n' Roll :D !
But how you can see in this vid, this here is more conutry Rock, not RnR, the other vid is RnR.

Sure, th is is Mr. J.C. Fogerty himself. The way he passes his hand past his nose at the end tells it for sure. he still does this today :-)

John, if only you'd come to Bandera, TX -- you could dress and perform like this every night, and at Arkey Blue's Saturday jam sessions.
