@LoveMeanKitties, UbiSoft cares about graphics, and since the old Petz aren't of this time anymore, they have hidden the old ones. But the community is still here. Also, Ubi Soft is also giving more attention to Hardcore gaming, Assassin's Creed for example. Fucked up shit in other words.

This version is my favorite. I grew up with Catz 5, and bought all of them except for the first version, Dogz 5, and Dogz 2 a couple years ago. This game never gets old, even through all these years :D I even have 2 plush toys xD

The newer versions are just shameful! I hate Ubisoft sometimes.

The newest versions are Dogz 5 and Catz 5, but in my opinion, the fifth version isn't as good as the fourth. Petz 4 is probably better. You get bunnyz and pigz and they have more personality and more options. Go for that'n. ;)

Petz4 also runs on XP and vista, both of those are the most likley to find...

i got the first version of dogz, when i was 11 for christmas and i loved it from the begining. since that christmas, i collected all the versions of dogz and catz, that came out. but whet the visual style changed, i stopped because i was very disappointed in which direction it all changed. and also the free way to interact wasn´t there anymore. it looks more like a copy of nintendogs then. not the best developing. i cant unterstand why they do this.

im not sure what to say, but u cud try downloading revo uninstaller its free. Then do an uninstall check advanced, and it will uninstall the game 1st, then search ur whole comp for any left over files of petz. A normall uninstaller doesnt do this. Maybe if everythings completely gone, it will work the next time! Good luck! x

7:34, two of my dogs do it ALOT! Have you guys ever noticed that sometimes the Alley cats give the "bad" finger? I watched closely and it really was only the middle finger standing up, They like get mad, put ther paw in front of them, with no fingers up, they put finger 1, 2, 3 and then put fingers, 1 & 3 down and well he gives you the finger, my sister and I rewarded one of them when he was doing that and now he does it all the time!

lol, no. Not unless you download mods from the internet. (For instance, occasionally people will create dogs with a cat model, and if you breed the "cat" with one of your actual cats, it will technically be recognized as a cat by the computer, even though it looks like some mutant catdog thing. xD )

After Petz 5, PF Magic (which had by then changed its name to something else) got absorbed into Ubisoft, at which point they began churning out bargain-bin garbage Petz games, without even bothering to differentiate them in title from the originals. Now very few people seem to remember the original Dogz and Catz series because the new series completely overwrote their names.

I heartily salute anyone who still has fond memories of Oddballz. That one was always my favourite.
