It would be nice to think that -- Tol-kee-ehn sounds so Noldorin -- and I pronounced it myself that way for years, but according to "The Letters of J.R.R. Tolkien", when a fan asked the good Prof how he pronounces his name, Tolkien himself wrote it out phonetically pretty much the way I did. If you're not a "Tolkien scholar," like this guy claims to be, you can be excused for not knowing that, but HE can't.
