I have said this lots of times...but once again THANK YOU..great video...great to see Victoria Williams...you're the best..keep on rocking in the free world mate....Cheers
OMG! I have not enough time to see all your vids, sadly, and I'm always surprised by some pearl like that. Thanks for everything. And just between us, Ed's voice is so much pleasing to the ear than Victoria's...
Shame on you for downing Victoria Williams... good thing Eddie doesn't think like that!
Perhaps you should watch Victoria's "Crazy Mary" video on youtube... it was her original version that inspired PJ to cover it for the Sweet Relief album. It's fantastic!
this is good, if i could go back to that day... id watch this gig live and then go to MTV studios in New York to watch Nirvana unplugged the following night!!
i saw Vic Williams in my town here in Spain a couple of weeks ago...just around 50 people in the club...when she sang Crazy Mary i was happy as ever...
I'm pretty sure that's Jimmy Shoaf - he was Dave's drum tech for a few years and also played the drums heard on the studio version of "Satan's Bed" from VITALOGY.
Amazing Vedder still plays this song 16 years later and it never gets dull. Victoria must feel blessed that Vedder took Crazy Mary and made it his own.....
Victoria Williams is one of the most overlooked songwriters. And this was when Vedder could still remember lyrics, cared at all and the band was still new enough that they put more effort into performances, though just barely, here.
If you had seen them this week and last you would know that they put their heart and soul into their performances, and that they care more (or appear to care more) than just about any other musician I have seen live - including Thom & Co!
Thanks Gary, for many years that I've been wishing to see Pearl Jam performing Crazy Mary live with Victoria Williams... it sounds sweeter than what I had imagined!!!
Thanks Gary! I love all your videos, but this one is the best ... until now. I'm exited what comes next. :-))) PJ can be very thankful for having a fan like you ... and of course all the other fans, including me, for sharing all this wonderful videos with us. :-))
i am merely trying to pass the music that is my life on to others :) i am fortunate to have people such as yourself watch my videos and even though we are far away connect for these few minutes of videos and share the same feelings! ....wow thats pretty deep for a youtube response :P
i think 05 was the year that showed me the greatness of this song. when eddie starting singing verses in higher pitches...beautiful! i like this version tho simply cuz it has victoria williams in it, the original singer! :D
love this g... nice to hear the songwriter singing with pj on this one.
victoria williams is truly a gifted artist. this song is a beauty.

Anyone know who is playing the drums there with Dave Abbruzzese?

Great version... the best I've ever heard besides Victoria's own. I had her video for Crazy Mary uploaded, but it was removed by the evil ones...

@gndcd402 was this show inside a soccer stadium?

According to PJ's official website this version of Crazy Mary was the third that was played.
I guess it could be labelled as a RARE CLASSIC nowadays.
Oh crazy crazy Mary.... :D
