i dont want stephenie to make the book into a film! nonono! i was let down when i watched twilight after i read the book :( and im dreading newmoon , of course i love the fimls but theres no way near as much of the impact and the emotions you can feel in the book, i dont think there should be a fiml of The Host, The Soul or The Seeker..:)

I'm a big fan of the Twilight Series, and I feel a bit like a traitor when I say that The Host was even better. The story was more complicated and entrapping, the climaxes never ended, the philosophical view of the book was just brilliant and the writing itself was great. Stephenie has, not learned, but improved her writing style. She knows just what makes people tick now. :D

I read this and I love it so much. I love twilight too, don't get me wrong, but the writing is just better in this book! I love that Stephenie Meyer wants her books to be for people of all ages. I'm only 13, so that's awesome for me.

I just finished it and loved it, and I'm not sorry to say I like it even better than twilight. I thought the book's message and story were way more compelling than twilight without a doubt. When I was reading it I imagined what it would look like as a film, I'd love it if there was one, but all the concentration is on the twilight series at the moment.

I love The Host. I believe it to be as good or even better than Twilight.

I got everyone to read Twilight at my schoo, and then The Host came along. Everyone bought it.

Nobody got into it.

Everyone said it made no sense and it was confusing, but I LOVE IT!!

my sister is the same way. she loved twilight but when she went to read the host she found it hard to get into. i'd say that it all depends on how open you are with books. if you can wait patiently for the plot to unfold then you can read it.. just gotta make sure you aren't distracted. ;) it really is a good book, so i recommend you read it regardless.

I'm reading The Host now, and it's almost painful to put it down and stop reading. I love what she said from 3:01 to the end. I'm 15, and I love both The Host as well as the Twilgiht series. My dad started reading Twilight today. People shouldn't be afraid to read a book, just because they're a certain age. A good book is for everyone.

i read twilight before anyone had even heard of edward and it was still in the back of the bookstore! i'm so glad i read it! i think jacob is my favorite in the entire series though, and i like ian better than jared. i feel bad for them. :(

Yeah, it'll capture your interest around.... page 200-250 or so. I bought the book because I'm also a Twilight fan... and it was really hard to charge through the first few chapters... but I guess it pays off when interest picks up. I'm still not done with it, though.
