  • I like when the captain sang, "All your friends are going with you." And it showed his friends with sinister looks on their faces like they're plotting something.

  • YOu're about to knock out VENOM in a Mystique Jet of yore. All your friends are going with you. YOu're preparing to bring gore. There's something quite important, or you'll end up in a jam. What have you gots ta do? Plan, plan, plan. Take a 3 Musketeers bar. YOu'll get hungry on the way. Take a Vault. You'll get thirsty when you're out at war all day.

  • Ladies and Getlemen, The singing Pirates

  • i luv dis song. 5 stars!! ^^

  • I've always loved this song. What's great about Sesame Street is that the songs weren't always the typical kiddy style. I gotta know the voice of the captain! He rocks!

  • yay! i have been searching for this for a long time! thanks for posting!

  • I love Michael Sporn's work, but wow, I didn't know this was old school, I first saw it in 2001. *Embarrassed*

  • I love this song. I used to get up and dance and sing to this when I was little. I still know the words of by heart. Take some apples and bananas you'll get hungary on the way. Take a flask you'll get thirsty when your out at sea all day. Take some band aids pirates get hurt and a map to locate land. What must you do plan, plan, plan so fab.

  • going along in relation to my other stated comments (the haunting comment) at location of 22 seconds did the trick.

  • At the age of four, I used to think the pirate singing this was George Washington...odd, I know.

  • OMG...me too...it made me think more of pilgrims than pirates...not that GW was a pilgrim...

  • A major goof is when the parrot flew off the Cap'n's shoulder the captain had no eyepatch.

  • I just noticed it. Good point.

  • Good song i enjoyed this when i was little.

  • who ever supplied the siging to the captian's voice, wow!

  • This is a beautiful song. I don't recall seeing it on TV as a kid, but I'm glad I got to see it now. I love doo-wop!!!!!!!

  • If this WERE done by Michael Sporn then he would have had to animate that cartoon where Frankenstien,(or should I say Fred),learns F words because the animation looks very similar to this.

  • They should also be taking gunpowder, shot, rum, trinkets to trade with natives and ghonerrhea medicine. These are pirates after all.

  • this clip after seeing it only once haunted my childhood! re-seeing this, it is not as bad as i thought but the captian's face of when he looked up,that was haunting then but now it isn't all that bad. i knew eventually this would debut here...looks like today was the day.

  • thats the best song that i enjoyed the best hats off to you

  • This is a Michael Sporn piece called "Pirates Plan". The song was composed by Ernest Troost music, Maxine Fisher lyrics.

  • Pirates singing doo wop. Gotta love it.

  • I've alway loved this little song. The little bump at the end where the boat bounces up and back down. Funny part i liked.

  • Thanks to Sesame Street, I've never got scurvy!
