@Yonderin He died too early? Are you Sure? I am not trying to contadict you or come off sounding like a know it all, but Hofmann made studio recordings in the 1880's. He was the first musician to do so actually. I do agree with some of the other comments it does sound suspiciously mechanical though!
@mamadeus081 You are right, I meant he probably died before he had the chance to make studio recordings. The thing is that he made piano roll recordings only. This kind of recording provide just an idea of the way he could have played this. Very interesting, though.
something tells me this isn't Scriabin himself. the recording is too neat, and the playing is kindda un-rythmical.

@sirdelrio I´ll tell you :) This is a welte mignon roll. Scriabin didn´t do any acoustic (real sound) recording, he died too early.
The roll system can´t reproduce most of the details, so we have to guess the way he actually played this.

I love the way he plays. It's a real compliment to Sofronitsky that his playing reminds me of Scriabin's.

I have Ogdon's version of the piece, which is quite good. But Scriabin himself rocks!
