  • I wish music was still like this

  • watching clips of theses awesome bands makes me wonder.. what the hell happened to music????

  • well put together... love them all so much

  • i agree with everything except the part about eddie vedder he wasnt from seatle and he was arrogant he came on the headbangers ball and said pearl jam was the best thing to come out of seatle they were good but the best far from it i actualy prefered mother love bone

the original line up fo pearl jam

  • I am about the same age as these musicians and from the same area I distinctly remember opening the Sunday issue of the Seattle Times/PI in the early 90's to find an article about how our generation ("X") was so useless, would never amount to anything and would never contribute anything They used that "I'm a loser baby, so why don't you kill me" song as an example of our attitudes that supposedly "said it all" Thank you for this video In the end that article was dead wrong & this vid proves it.

  • @livedreamincolor

Thank you so much, that is beautifully written!!

  • Im 20 i discovered grunge and rock when i was 17 while searching for a hip hop radio station when i heard the intro to would?.... Then i heard Layne sing. Lets just say my life changed for the better lol. But yeah all my friends were into the hip hop, pop, reggeathon (im latino by the way) you should checkout some late 90's bands like Deftones, System of a Down, even Korn.

  • Just like coffee - SEATTLE'S BEST!!

  • Amazing. Thank you.

  • Amazing tribute. Thank you.

  • The friends of mine that don't like my taste in music can kiss my ass. More for me.

  • excellent video This will never die

  • All my friends have a good music taste and love this kind of music, I hardly know anybody who listens to todays crap such a Nickie Minaj and Lady Gaga.. stop telling yourself nonsense, look at their video likes they speak for themselfs.

There´s more then enough people including young people like me who love good music.

  • back in the days when music mean smth theres not one day go on that i dont listen at least one of this bands personally for me layne staley got the best voice i ever heard in my entire life

  • Exelentisimo video me encanto pero hubieses puesto imagenes de Kurt destrozando guitarras y del Live at Reading pero igual esta buenisimo ;)

  • GREAT WORK, BRAVO.

  • Nice video....wish you added Scott Weilland as well...but still nice tribute.

  • @miocynar

Hi, thanks! This is a video with my own, personal favourites. Nothing against all the other musicians though. Respect! But well, one day I might make a video with some of the other artists... For now, this is my tribute to my own favourite musicians. :)

  • yea dude...and Kevin Martin (Candlebox)

  • @miocynar agree wish he put scott and andrew wood in this...but as long as i got layne im ok lol

  • @MsJilsephonie

Hey all you people! I am the woman who made this video, and I just want to tell you I might make a video with Andy Wood, a video especially for him. These are my own 4 personal favorites. Everyone has their own taste.

  • whomsoever I've cradled, I've put you down, wow, I love this song.

  • TRIBUTE!

  • @sthnwatch

Yeah! And that´s why I won´t allow any disrespectful comments here ... it´s a disrespect to all these artists, to me and to the rest of the fans. This is a tribute!

  • so good to see them all alive and young-really feeling it! to all of you younger listeners-feel what they are saying and make it really healthy and your own-and keep going for the next generation

  • @rebepage

Oh that´s so beuatiful and wisely written! I agree!

  • so good to see them all alive and young-really feeling it!

  • When I was born, so was grunge..so it seems only natural to treat it as a natural extension of myself :)

It's like a musical brother to me rather than a medium I am a fan of.

  • @APittsburghOriginal

    That´s BEAUTIFUL!!

  • Searchlight Souls, they say, cannot see it in the night.. RIP my brothers.

  • I can smell the 90's in this video. Reminds me of my dads 92 Pontiac sunfire and wearing clothes my mom picked out for me. We used to go to Seattle every weekend back then cause my cousins lived there in the 90's. Good times :)

  • @StruckDownByThunder I'm from the other side of the globe but I feel you because these artists speak a universal language and that's sweet sweet rock and roll. music that resonates across all those who feel it!!

  • where can i find the video from 1:28 to 1:33..?..:)..

  • @emilijapetrovic58

Pearl Jam in Sao Paolo, Brazil, performing I am mine. Look it up on youtube!

  • OJALÁ algun dia el grunge/rock sea tan conocido como el pop/reggaeton

  • I love the video you made, I am 18 and have been listening to Alice, Nirvana, Soundgarden, and Pearl Jam (amongst other bands) since I was 8 years old. It's truly an honor to know people who actually grew up with these bands.

  • @MimicalThought

Thank you so much! I love hearing young people listening to this kind of music!

  • i hate the music now.. i miss 90's rock and roll style.. specially grunge..

  • i love AiC im 21 and i have an excellent taste in music

  • I'm 14. It literaly kills me that my friends do not know what grunge is and they think I'm a ''wannabe hipster''. Fuck this world. Just, fuck it.

  • @PandoraSky13

Hi, things will get better, I promise! But you know, I made this video cause I love these guys, but none of my friends like this kind of music. I´m 36... Hang in there, you have a great music taste!

  • @pridden76 grunge is the best i remember my good time in high school the best of my life grunge forever, i hate reggaeton is shit

  • @PandoraSky13 Yeah, recently Dave Grohl said in an interview that there's nothing wrong with rock nowadays, it's just being ignored. He said that the atmosphere of the world's musical scene before the rise of grunge wasn't very different from today's.

  • @PandoraSky13 dude, im totaly with you. wish i could rent a time machine and spend some time in the great 90s

  • @streetkicks14 the 90s sucked, thats where the grunge feel came from...the overhyped overpaid overindulgent 80s lead to the reality of the 90s, "pop" music went from glam arena rock,to the dark contrast of surviving which created grunge, was a hard time to find work and support my young kids...all things a cyclical music,economy,styles,fads...just wait awhile and this style will reappear, take it from an old fuck...

  • @PandoraSky13 I completely understand!! My friends laugh at me because I listen to the grunge station on sirius and thay wanna listen to hip hop -_-

  • @PandoraSky13 I am 17 and i know exactly how you feel man, nobody knows grunge. Their too obsessed with pussy mainstream music that they have no idea how good this genre truly. It opened so many peoples eyes to the expression of music and how much talent these people had. If anyone doesn't believe me i show them Beyond the Wheel-Soundgarden and they still dont like it so fuck them and dont let anyone ever tell you that this isnt music.

  • Tamare, que buenos exponentes e íconos de una etapa de la música. Love them all, I feel like making music nowww

  • As much as I hate guitar hero, I think it may have inspired the next wave of kids to pick up guitars and get to work. However the music industry is in bad shape and can't afford to gamble on bands with potential anymore. If you want to see good rock bands you have to go to local shows. That's where it all starts. Convince everyone of you friends to go. Don't get me wrong, your gonna see some crappy bands but when you'll find great music still being played.

  • im barely a teenager and it disgusts what kids like these days. i love this song and hope rock can at least survive

  • love em all but layne was the best wish he wasnt dead im 13 and i really wanted to go to a good concert for once in my life

  • @rightouslightning

Hi, I´m the woman who made this video, and I have to say I´m so happy that you, as a 13 year old, has this kind of music taste. You should have some credit for that. RIP Layne.

  • @pridden76 thank you its wierd being around all my freinds all listening to rap and pop with me likeing (my fav. alice in chains) and soundgarden and other not "cool" music plus everyone who listens to ANY good music is emo or downers :)

  • @rightouslightning

Hi, I can imagine that. I was a teenager in the 90´s and grunge music was BIG back then ... But just be yourself and believe in your own music taste, I bet you will meet people with the same music taste as you. You have a great music taste and there is so much to explore! Take care :)

  • @rightouslightning same here i feel you man im only 14 and my friends listen to ass music

  • @rightouslightning We need to change this, I'm 15 and our generation is going to have a rough time in the world. All the music these days is about money and gangs. There is no real meaning or talent. Any music that is decent these days gets mocked or made fun of. It's sad really. This NEEDS fixed. NOW.

  • @rightouslightning Hi,just saw chris cornell solo,it was awesome.also,go see chickenfoot this year, amazing band and the general public dont even know who they are...rock n roll forever!

  • @rightouslightning Define best bro! Layne had alot of help from jerry cantrell as a vocalist and song writer. It should be Chris Cornell is the best vocalist, Layne and Jerry were the best musicians and Kurt was the best song writer :)

  • @rightouslightning Hi, I'm 55 and I love AIC and Layne too, but I feel a great pity,too. You've very good ear:-)))

  • this is rock and roll,,,nuff said

  • i love them all eddie is the sweetest guy kurt is the most populart chris is the best showman/frontman but the best voice has to be layne i mean they all good but vocally none of them can even come close to layne this guy was a genius

  • I love all 4 of them so much....too bad I wasnt born earlier.

  • How can anyone just not love them? They're great.. and all this Grunge culture was so amazing. Why did it just disappear? where did it go?
