  • wow the dude made some serious wonga on this pic. he's not stupid

  • @metalilith so you is a hippie?

  • fuck all animal loving whiny hippie motherfuckers who hates Deodato

  • film doesn't neccessarily have to be about entertainment, is that so hard to understand?

  • @aruiz90 a horror movie which is produced for the cinema is for the entertainment of audiences. plain and simple.

  • @Cosmic86x I see you have a very limited view of film. Film can be so much more than entertainment. It can be an experience that leaves you with a change, an experience that leaves you with a different energy. Thats how I feel about Cannibal Holocaust. This film made me see how society hasn't really evolved. The laws of the jungle have been transferred to "civilized" society. I love how a low-budget horror film can be so powerful yet look so real. More credible than most crap today.

  • @aruiz90 no man thats definitly not the case. im a film buff. i love movies. and especially old classics.every genre and from every country. i know that some special movies have some special messages. and i got the message of Cannibal Holocaust. i don't say it's a bad movie, don't get me wrong. the cinematography, the story and some of the acting was really good. i just think that the animal killings were unnecessary.

  • @Cosmic86x I respect your opinion but I honestly believe the animal killings add to the picture. Deodato was reminding the Western audience what happens when you eat animals. I dont find the turtle killing for example as cruel because it seems like a perfectly normal way of killing an animal for food, which they did. I dont condone violence against animals but I do eat meat and I realize they must be killed. Animals (and humans) are killed everyday and this film reminds us of that. Its nature.

  • @aruiz90 I do not agree, I'm afraid. This is a movie! Not reality! There are ways to fake animal deaths without actually harming the animals and there are ways to do it without blowing your budget. If you’re going to fake people being killed and eaten in a graphic manner, then you can also fake it with animals too. I’m aware that film history is littered with examples of animal cruelty and real animal deaths, but that does not mean we should try and justify it.

  • @aFlamingMonkey I'm not justifying the deaths on film but understand for example when the natives killed the monkey that they urged the director to let them actually kill the monkey for its brains because the natives enjoy monkey brains. Again it further illustrates my point that that the film in a way exposes Western audiences for being ignorant about the world outside. In the US most hate seeing animals killed but in less advanced places they have no issues with it. Doesnt make US better.

  • @aruiz90 This movie is not a realistic portrayal of jungle life in the Amazon. It is fictional. Maybe some people in the world have no issue with seeing animals killed, that does not make the movie-going public ignorant. Some people may not take issue with seeing rape, does that mean that in this film the rape scenes should have been real? What I'm saying is that any message that the director/producer/writer was trying to convey could have been made by faking the animal deaths just as easily.

  • @aruiz90 I respect your opinion. I can see that you've researched the film and thought about it. But that is your individual interpretation. Obviously the film was meant to be confronting, but I still think that there is a strict line that you do not cross when making a fictional film. I am not particularly outraged, because I know that animals have been treated badly in many films, I just think that in this day and age we should condemn such practices.

  • @aruiz90 i think your defending this director because you secretly get of to this sick shit.

  • the thing is, if you film the killing of an animal within a documentary it's something else. it's for science. but Cannibal H. was not a documentation. it was horror movie for entertainment. so basically they killed the animals for entertainment. and that's just not right.

  • Awesome, kill animals and get fame for it. i hope that piece of shit goes to jail and gets fucked in the ass. I don't care if he fucking ate them, which he probably didn't. the dude ripped a monkeys face off , and filmed it, he deserves to be in jail.

  • @booper21 fuck you and all other hippies out there, this is Europe, not America

  • lol

  • it would had been better if they had made the interview in italian with english subtitles. we can see both father and son can not speak english very well.

  • ASESINO de animales. Sos un cagon!!!

  • Cannibal Holocaust is a masterpiece! To all the haters, they ate the animals so its no big deal that they were killed and plus the animal killings are such a small part of the film. This is a great film thats brutal, horrific, yet beautiful at the same time; the perfect contrast.

  • @aruiz90 agree :D

  • @aruiz90 dont be fool.. they killed the animals to film them being killed, not to eat them. Canibal Holocaust is not a documentary, it is a drama/horror/adventure milionaire movie

  • @bipenettt I know its not a documentary dumbass and this movie cost less than a million

  • @aruiz90

    a masterpiece?

you think 6 animals being killed for the purpose of a shit*y film is a masterpiece?.

  • @misshannahbanana131 wow your stupid. The animal killings are such a tiny part of the movie. People kill animals everyday but once you put it on camera, its an issue. You obviously can't see things beyond face value.

  • Comment removed

  • @aruiz90 you think i'm stupid cause i don't believe in killing animals cruely and recording just for the perpose of other peoples enjoyment ?

you're the stupid one :') thanks.

  • @misshannahbanana131 it was 30 years ago get over it butt-hurt bitch. The animal killings weren't presented for pleasure. Deodato was exploiting the ferociousness and cruelty of humans. The movie raises the question about what it means to be civil. But I can see by your name and channel that things like this just fly over your head. You just hear about animals dying and suddenly your out to defend them. People like you who are constantly defending animals are out of touch with reality.

  • @aruiz90

oh 30 years ago makes it okay?:)

well thats okay then yeah?, no.

and you think being rude to somebody by calling them a 'butt-hurt bitch' is going to get them to shut up?:)

okay well maybe you should sit the fu*k down and realise that some people actually care about animals you di*k :')

or isnt that all right with you?

  • @misshannahbanana131 lmao wow you don't even spell out your curse words. You must be twelve.

  • @aruiz90 or maye i'm considerate of other people and doesnt want to be swearing all over youtube unlike some?

    :')

    erm no? 17 .

and if you want me to swear i will?. you cunt:')

  • i hate cruelty to animals and i feel strongly about that.. but the tribe peoples or whatever would have gotten them if we didnt while shooting.... it is still bad tho

  • I guess this is just anyone's opinion, but I say Cannibal Holocaust was actually a great movie in its own right. It wasn't just for sensationalism, and if it was I wouldn't have bothered watching it. I had to learn that there was a point to all of the brutality before I decided to watch the movie. I also agree that the animal cruelty was tactless and unacceptable, but I'm not gonna throw the entire movie out with this sad fact; that's just senseless.

  • animals had to be killed cos they ate them. CH is a MASTERPIECE and you are a stupid moroon

  • This interview sucks major ass and so does his animal abuser movie. It's sad that they made 200 millions with it. I can't believe people actually pay money to see this piece shit?

  • @TheAmazingTroglodyte If I saw this bastard I'd slice his face off with a machette. Never actually watched cos' I love animals, I just heard about it and it sickens me to know those poor animals died to make this gay film. He should of got death row >:)

  • @CreativeGuyKyle It may be sick to kill animals for a movie...but some on...death row? Give me a break...

  • @CreativeGuyKyle " If I saw this bastard I'd slice his face off with a machette" wow,how non-violent of you....

  • @CreativeGuyKyle lol, then your the same kind of bastard that he is, even a bigger bastard seeing as its worse killing humans then killing animals lol

  • @TheAmazingTroglodyte your aware of the fact that his plans was to make "fake" animals and not actually kill real animals in this movie, but the natives or whatever insisted on killing real animals instead so that they could eat it.

  • Ruggero Deodato is a fucking talentless hack. If you think his vicious exploitation film has any artistic merit due to its tacked on social commentary then you are a moron, a tool and the worst possible breed of cinema goer imaginable.

  • thx dude

  • oh god........listen to these two morons is worst than squeeze your balls in a drawer........why the hell the italians can't be able to learn english??........

  • @8ottantacinque5 This comment is hilarious.

  • Wow...Stupidity is transmitted by DNA...this prove that

well....art ends when gore becomes real.....I'm an artist, I know what I'm saying

the same is for Nathalia Edenmont.........anyway, ther's not much time left for you demons

  • Very interesting interview, but I can't hardly understand what he's saying.

  • interesting
