I hate BLADE 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Crap! Stupid characters! Ryan Renolds is a good comedian but is brutally OUT OF PLACE in part 3, and so is Jessica Biel. Parker Posey is out of place and so is Dominic Purcell is HORRIBLE as Drake. It has uninspired action scenes, corny dialogue, crappy techno rap/rock music, and just dumb things that happen.
the whole script for this movie was crap. They sold their souls for a few bucks. The first two films very dark tales with blade saying as little as possible which was brilliant for the character. Ryan Reynolds portrayal is the reason people are reserving judgement for his portrayal of the green lantern. And before you say oh, well ryan can play a serious part i've followed his career from the start and like him as an actor but he single handedly destroyed my favorite franchise
@aboynamedmass I don't believe that. I think it was probably just as good and dark a script. BUT Goyer directed it as well (which he didn't the first one) so I bet there was a lot of on set goofing around and so the movie itself became lighter because of lots of improved lines and such.
I'm still not convinced he's right for Green Lantern.

TRUE. Blade is shifted to the background so that we can see The Nightstalkers(who are HUMAN)battle vampires(who are SUPERHUMAN). So hand-to-hand fight scenes for The Nightstalkers should've been out of the question. And How in the world do you have Blade, who can distinguish between a human and a vampire, get fooled by a human with fake teeth. When I saw the movie, it was at that point that I knew that the movie was going to go downhill.
It ticked me off that they braught Whisler back to life in the second movie just to kill him in the first 10 minutes of the 3rd movie. That film was pretty disapointing after Blade 2. I saw Blade 2 way after it and 3 had already came out, and I was really exited after I liked it so much. It was a letdown, but I still think it was OK.
I love Blade because my sister was always torturing me with vampire movies (I'm not good with blood) as a kid, and Blade just kills vampires left and right :D.

I just watched the directors cut and part of the original ending has been restored but it still has that darn line I hate so much: "If you give up now, we can't be together,"

Prob' had with 1 is that they set it up as meant to be that Vampirism is based on a mutagenic virus and thus (if you accept the whole ashing aspect :P) gives it sense of reality.
2) But you then suddenly get flying skeleton midget batmen that fly into Deacon and really fake blood goo (it worse in original ending where he is a goo tornedo, BUT atleast you can believe there that he is meant to be some sort of god)
3 was just a disaster :( and totally wrecked the character development of Blade in 2nd Movie of accepting himself and even realizing not all vampires are "evil"

I completely agree with everything you said in this. Also, Blade 3 should have just been 2 hours of Hannibal King making jokes, because that is really the only good thing about 3. 1 and 2 are great, and two of my favorite comic movies.

I just bought the directors cut of Crow 2, and blade 2, which I recently saw and loved much more than the original blade.
I think Blade 2 was proof that Blade could have been so much better. Blade 2, in my opinion, was as good as it possibly could have been.
I'll rewatch Blade to see if it grows on me, as that has happened to me with plenty of movies before.
