  • You look like RJ Berger.

  • would a droid or iphone, mounted in a underwater casing (w/ shockmounts of course) survive the ride?!? thanks! a science experiment only kids would dream of! :)

  • @rorytambores yes it would done it myself

  • it would have been cool if you guys would have played stairway to heaven

  • Wait, if it passes through the thermosphere, how did the marshmallow not melt?

  • 1:31, lets see if my balloon is bigger... 1:36, shoot!

  • If Hostess goes out of business, you won't be able to send Twinkies into space anymore.

  • is that a marshmellow?

  • what did it taste like?!

  • @sheba24680 twinkies are bad to begin with but twinkies from space are worse seriously never try it its terrible

  • <8O any super powers, yet????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great job Geoff!!! We need more people like you!!!!

  • harry potter and the sorcerer's twinkie

  • (black-ops)*spawns and throws a tomahawk* POP! Me:What the hell was that? -twinkie falls from sky-

  • By eating the thing, he ingested lots of excess radiation.

  • @azjeff1971 and that was before it even went to space.

  • @azjeff1971

It may have been irradiated but it doesn't remain contaminated. May have killed all the germs.

  • I must admit, despite the oddity of watching a twinkie on a baloon, the view plus the music makes for one beautiful video. Well done!

  • I wondered me this many times, how do you guys get the black box back? And how do you know it is safe to lift it up (planes?)

  • @gunkgrifter we checked with air control 24 hours in advance and we used aprs (automatic packet reporting system) in coordination with a gps to track it over a website called aprs.fi through the amateur radio bands you can see more about how we did it at

  • You're a wizard Harry

  • I adore nerds.

  • Hi. I really liked this video! It was so cool! I've always wanted to do something like this, but most of my friends are scientifically and technologically challenged, so I have no one to help me with projects. Anyways, I hope you don't mind, but I downloaded this video as an MP3 file to my laptop, then cut down the audio so that it is just the song, and I'm just going to upload it to YouTube for people who loved the video and wanted to audio too. I'll give credit to this video. :-)

  • around 1:50 looks beautiful i would love to live up there (if it was inhabitable)

  • Nice... Radiation Twinkie! lmao

  • Lol for some reason I really don't think eating something that flew into space is the brightest idea. Next thing you know, you would be the beginning of that movie 'Invasion'!

  • cancer... :D

  • llaammeee!! i thought it went that there was a kid riding the balloon up and would eat the twinkie in space >:P well thats 4 min. of my life im never getting back >:P

  • good work guys. enjoyed the ride!

  • Pt. Mugu in background??

  • That is wicked!

  • we had uh uh uh

  • The last two things left after the apocalypse will be cockroaches and twinkies.

  • @Ferreal92 actually, there's a cool experiment to show that twinkies are not edible after being stored for 7-years. so the last thing will just be unfortunately, roaches.

  • Thanks for all the comments everyone :)

@jesserocketmail - it's a Kaymont balloon, check out the equipment page at the happycapsule web site.

@aera137 - I agree, great tune! The music is by Tad Wagner, there is a link to his site in the description.

  • Twinkies: The worlds indestructable food.

  • excelent!

  • its harry potter

  • @wilosony na...

  • Who needs microwave ovens?

  • Wouldn't the twinkie be irradiated by the sun?

  • @DarkSystem9 Probably not much more than we are.

  • @DarkSystem9 xD if he went near it D: theirs no way that twinkie made it in just a few hours or day to the sun, it would take longer

  • 0:22 Fly on it O.o

  • Are you Crazy! Eating that Twinkie Was Probably a Bad idea. We'll If the Twinkie was outside the Earths Atomsphere, it could of been Exposed to Various amounts of Radiations from The Sun!.

  • @GamerProductz exposure to radiation and being radio active are two different things. Being exposed doesn't make a Twinkie radioactive or bad to eat.

  • awesome

  • are Twinkies are 1st hand made than sent to space for maximinm taste!

  • Wow. You think that thing woulda been microwaved from the direct sunlight up there. I don't know if I'd wanna eat an irradiated twinkie.

  • @kevnar if you live in the US then you eat irradiated food all the time.

  • @agentj3000 Also the US goverment would tell you. Sending food in space. Then eatting it. Is good for you.....

  • I REALLY want to do this!!!! what type of balloon did you use. Please let me know

    Thanks

  • That kid said "Ew" before he even tastes it. -.-

  • hey nice plan get a cardboard and make a rectangular hole and put your camera inside there
