  • Nice man i am trying to lose weight myself, water and fat weight i never thought it was possible to lose 8 pounds in a day i thought that was unhealthy.

  • is it real fat being cut tho? i use my sauna suit for like 3 days in a row and the sweat is way less on the 3rd day as it was on the 1st day. so i am thinking its just excess water and not fat? altho i do kno fat is mostly water

  • @6090Ben I rinse it in the shower and let it hang to dry. You can always hand wash it if you need to as well.

  • @hootiepaladin When you are losing water weight the best time to drop the water weight is the day before and the day of competition.

  • wrestling season is coming up and im wanting to cut to 189 from 202 using this method. Will it leave me drained or should i be able to handle it decently?

  • @DeiTy4GuiTar Im not the user of this video, Just a commenter but You dont wanna do this like 3 days before weigh ins. Try to go to a 24 hr gym the day before weigh ins and do what he did late in the day though so you can just skip dinner that night and eat after wiegh ins. Thats what I am going to do, This method seems highly accurate

  • Hey so wrestling seasons starting and right now im in the heavy side of 140 pounds. I want to get to atleast 130 for most of the season and then when 2 pound comes along, i want to get to 127. Is it healthy for me to cut almost 5-6 pounds almost every week in one day? Or should I slowly cut for about 3 days before tourneys? When should i start water cutting?

  • @PeepSquad04 If your with in 5 pounds two days before a weigh in your right where you want to be. The last day or two you can drop that easily by restricting your calories, eating clean food, and dropping water weight. Good luck on the season!

  • @PeepSquad04 most doctors will tell u that it is bad for u but i know a doctor who is a grappler and he tells me that aslong as your not droping 20 pounds in one day its alright

  • So if i lose water weight by doing this does that mean as soon as i began to rehydrate im gonna gain my weight back. See after my surgery i got out of shape i use to be 145 n i wouldnt gain at all so I never cut weight before. So can i cut this weight and keep it off or will I eventually regain it because im losing water not fat?

  • do you take a shower before your final weigh in. or do you weigh yourself with the sweat on you? Does it make a difference?

  • @deklompenmaker1 Ha no it doesn't make a difference. Just towel dry your sweat off before your weigh in.

  • What do you make in your recovery drink, I've been drinking the G3 gatorades but just curiuos to see what else is a good choice. And if anyone else has already askead this question I apoligize...

  • @gamblebynight21 You want to replenish your sodium and electrolytes mostly which is why G3 is a good drink. I like more of a smoothly type drink because of the fruit and veggies I use.

  • @gamblebynight21 Fruits, veggies, protein powder, and water. G2 is ok but it's high in sugar. Pedialyte is a great electrolyte replacement after you cut weight.

  • You make it look so easy... any tips on the right way to rehydrate too? I usually eat a little bit and drink Gatorade and sometimes I still feel like crap (or at least a little tired or weak) when it's time for the match. I need to make sure I'm consistently strong and at top shape against my opponent.

  • @wrestling174 Usually cutting weight is not fun and you do feel drained. If your too weak and can't recover enough for your matches you will not be at your best to win your tough matches. If that's the case you should think about going up a weight class. Its important to stay hydrated and eat to help you convert food to energy to use for competition. Be smart and prepare before its time to cut weight by keeping your body fat low.

  • @wrestling174 When you cut the water weight you can rehydrate a little, but you want to make sure that you fight your urge to hydrate fully, since you losing water weight to make weight. That's why its important to burn more calories while working out then you consume through eating and drinking. Then the water weight is the last thing to go the day before and day of the weigh in. Then after the weigh in try to rehydrate to your fullest.

  • @KuttingWeight Thanks! I'm practicing cutting weight a few times this summer to feel more comfortable with it. Also, I think I was pushing myself too hard instead of going at a lower intensity and listening to my body. I don't have your suit yet but I think it's worth saving up some money to get one. The plastic stuff is cheap but I've had to throw away several cause they rip. I'm trying not to go up a weight class but put on some muscle over the summer, so we'll see how tough this is.

  • This video helped out alot. I have TKD nationals coming up Saturday and I have about five pounds to lose. I was slightly afraid of messing everything up by not cutting weight correctly. Thanks for the vid.

  • Dude ive wrestled for four years i can lose 11 pounds in a day let alone 8 pounds in a hour no pills needed you have to run the whole time and do push ups but mainly and jump two steps combination if you box you know what it is or double jump in the air just this is more than easy i went all region because of this I dont even get tired anymore if you really want to cut at much weight as i did get in a sauna suit have compression shorts on as well then get a hoodie or sauna suit jacket mp3 too

  • awesome video, really helpful, i have to cut another 9lbs before Saturday morning as i have a Kickboxing fight Sunday night (only amateur).... i was starting to worry a little as i have not been able to cut any this past week, but i bought something today very similar to your sweat suit and hopefully that will do the trick. also... it's tough for me to workout.... and NOT drink water........ perhaps i need to be a little tougher with this and just not drink "/ .... thanks again, great videos!

  • The Thing about lossing Water weight is that it easily comes back. i loss 5 pounds every work out but its back after i rehydrate.

  • cjsellers022, yes i lost 25 pounds now... i do not wear the wight suit, but a sauna suit, a long sleeve shirt, n a sweat shirt over... i asol started eating a bag of spinach, a banana, n a 20 oz bottle water after my work out .. i started drinking at least 80 oz of water a day... i feel great n i have more confidence in my self in a lot of things now,,,

  • I hope I lose some...I have been doing this stuff for like an hour and a half but I have been taking small breaks and stuff...so I dont know, we'll see...my shirt is kind of wet alittle around the sleeve...

  • I dont have the sweat suit or whatever but I wear like a shirt, long sleeve, hoody, shorts and pants and then I just do like 100 jumping jacks and like 20-30 pushups. I usually run around my block.

  • It is a way of loosing temporary water weight for combat sports! U need to be the designated weight for a few mins only.

    Yes it's not super healthy but most fighters are very knowlegeable on how there body responds.

    In today's game you HAVE to do this at pro level as your gonna face guys much larger and stronger than you if you don't.

    I fight at 170 lbs but usualy weigh around 185 as I enter the cage!

  • i wrestle 130 lbs and i lose the weight by not eating 24 hours before my match and running. and also its way harder to lose weight if your at 4-7 % body fat and bellow hydration test

  • The head isn't more important than any other part of the body. It is JUST as important. Heat doesn't come out of your head more than anywhere else. That only happens on chimney stacks.....and your head.... is not a chimney stack.

  • i think u should put on ur hoodie, cuz a lot of heat comes out from ur head. vuz when i cut weight for wrestling i put the hoodie on and tie it up. also, i breath down my sweater to increase the temp

  • just a myth the head releases no more heat then any other body part just as important to cover as arms legs. that said still covering your head still would help just because its another vent to cover no more important though.
