@mintico Well that varies upon your PC. You could have a PC with an amazing video card, Processor, Ect. that would blow any console version away, But at the same time if you dont have tons of money you might not be able to aford that stuff and have lower graphics. Hurr.

The Hydra is a pretty good shotgun, it can do around 1200 dammage max, for the M3 it's only 900 max...

If you're closed enough you should be able to kill a red chainsaw man with only to shot (that's the case in mercenaries mode)

the hydra, when infinite, is mostly semi-auto, no pump action, also, it has more spread range, as its sawed-off, but it has to be used at an extremely close range so it doesn't loses pellets and firepower along the shot, and the m3 is pump action, witch decreases the firing rate, but it has less recoil, but i don't think that makes a difference ingame, and its better for single targets, as it focus its firepower in a less spreaded but more concentrated shot.

Hydra would have been a good weapon if it actually had a 3 bullet capacity and fired them all at once :/

I hate seeing enormous clips and magazines, let alone unlimited ammo. That bugs me as a person with some knowledge of firearms, plus it takes challenge and fun out of the game :(

hydra nails 12 for 550 each for 6600 total.

Play the game on pro, although m3 is good, you will die real quick due to pumping! hydra is fastest shotgun, and the best!

M3 is beast, but i would choose Hydra too. More power and range with the same capacity. But i wouldn't play with infinite ammo, that turns the game just cheap and boring

When u used compare the M3 to the Hydra against the Gatling Gun Manji, the Hydra only takes 5 Shots to Finish him off while the M3 took seven. If I had a choice, it would be the fully upgraded Hydra, hands down.

what i noticed with the hydra is that it has 3 spread zones as well as having better range for shots making the hydra better for say mercenaries or something but if you just wanna take out the big ass enemies like the executioner use the m3 or if you want to take out the big enemies use a magnum with infinite ammo

@CLsto to all, hydra really shines on its range option too, max this out so the pellets stay closer together and not grouped out.

So far, most damaging is rpg, second at 6600 is hydra, third is hand cannon at 5000 and 4th is m3 shotgun.

you are close, m3 shots 5 pellets at 900 each, ithaca ranges around 4 pellets at 400, hydra is 12 pellets at 550 each,and jailbreaker, average is 12 too.

@MeWantYouLegxDPLZ from what the folks say at resident evil portal, actual game developers, you ar correct, but only at point zero shots, like in this video, what he did with both practically touching th executioners head.since no one technically goes for point blank, there is a slight distance gap of 1 to 3.that said, m3 hits with a high average of 5 sometimes 6 pellets, and hydra hits with 12 to 13 pellets.CLSTO is right, 5 for ithaca/m3, hydra/jailbreaker is 12 to 13.

@Lulzy92 based off of the resident evil wiki and shooting at a wall from 4 distances: point blank, about 4 steps back, 8 steps back, and lastly, 12 paces back.m3 always nails 7 pelletts, hydra nails about 12 to 17, but at close ranges, the hydra and m3 pelletts become more "Condensed" to a tighter spot.The argument is which does more damage at close to medium ranges.hydra wins, m3 is still good

m3, ithaca shoot 7, jailbreaker/hydra = distance = 16 to 17, at point blank/close to point blank::12 to 17 in a tightly condensed area.therefore, conclsion, at close to point blank range, the hydra is number 1, and m3 is #2.to me, jailbreaker sucks! try the wall at those three distances.

Here's the thing guys

The hydra has 3 barrels which means more spread and shells going at your enemy with each shell doing 550 damage. And it has range upgrades.The Mossberg (M3) has one barrel and not very much spread with less shells so it all comes down to how many shells are going into your enemy which means Hydra for the win.

If it is the first gun you are getting unlimited ammo for, you should be getting it for a magnum like the M29 or the L. Hawk, not a shotgun. Magnums are useful for pretty much anything, while shotguns quickly lose effectiveness at medium range.

Hydra is a Unlockable Weapon. First u upgrade the Itacha m37 max. And then u can buy it from the Store. If u want it Infinite Ammo u need to finish game and upgrade the weapon u want max. And then u can buy it for 20,000 in Bonus Features at the bottom.

I've done this test myself on every difficulty, not just 1. I have not put the video up but i can respectively say the Hydra won overall due to distance and spread. First i tested both guns on the normal majini. Each difficulty was the same amount of shots except professional where the hydra kept winning by 1.

@QQ20034 like you may have said in another video, shooting the wall seems to be a good idea. Although more than 1 pellet can in fact land in the same place, thus counting holes in the wall may result in numbers lower than 12.

Then again I posted another video, which shows that the Jailbreaker is not really much weaker than the M3.

I done the same test on every difficulty. I did it on the normal enemies, and the ones you have shown above. With the normal enemies as you can imagine the Hydra won clearly. Regarding the enemies above it was the same as yours. I will only talk about normal difficulty. The excutioner took 3 shots from both guns. The chainsaw took 5 shots from the m3 and 4 shots from the hydra. Gatling took 8 shots from the m3 and 6 from the hydra. (Continue to next comment)

(Continue) As regards to the excutioner not getting stunned with Hydra first time i found wierd, but then i noticed something, he was trying to grab you, so i done a test with just the hydra, i shot him when he was about to grab me and nothing, no stun. Then i shot him normal and he was stunned :)

good point there, so I guess you can't really stop the executioner from grabbing you by shooting him. Most people will probably keep their distance from him anyway.

In case anyone else is wondering, it took 5 and 8 shots to the leg (+20% damage weak point) of the GG majini to take him out with the 5000 damage M500 and the 3000 damage L. Hawk respectively. Note that all these tests were done on the Amateur difficulty.

now on pro, i heard that the hydra "REALLY SHINES", but only at point blank shots(getting the enemy seriously close to you, so all 3 barrells of the hydra hit him at once!) M3 is still a sick shotgun though!M3 is better than the ithaca.
