RE: GAYE DELORME MEMORIAL: In keeping with eveyone being notified of Gaye's continuing legacy there will be an announcement August 21, 2011 after Gayes memorial at the Arts Club Theatre in Vancouver, of the release of his finished CD, American Jumbo. The same afternoon the CD will be available at the Yale fucntion. orders can be made through gayedelorme@yahoo.com for the interim. (Howard DeLorme, brother)
All the songs from the 'Blue Wave Sessions' remind me of driving up to Whistler BC from Vancouver with my father when I was only 7 years old. The whole album makes me very emotional and brings back great memories. It isnt going far to say that Gaye Delorme was a main influence on me for picking up a guitar when I was younger. He is one of the most under rated and influential, skilled guitarists in Canada. A true pioneer in my eyes.
There is a great song I like from him. It was played on the CKUA radio station when he was interviewed. I don't know the name of the song but it was a very catchy tune.
This is my favorite song that Gaye made. It makes me feel close to him. God I miss my brother!
