Rick decided to not tour again because he was so busy producing ~ as IF Todd isn't?!! Todd was PERFECT! And if younger fans didn't know the difference, they would swear he was lead for the Cars! Let's not let laziness get in the way Rick, some other AWESOME guy like Todd could get in your way! Go Todd! You ROCK!!!
Surprisingly, the lead singer, Todd Rundgren, sounds an awful lot like Ric Ocasek. Ocasek did not want to tour again so he said no to the reunion, but he was not mad and gave his blessing to those (Elliot Easton/Greg Hawkes) to continue without him. Unfortunately, although they all play remarkably like the old band, the backup voices replacing fantastic Ben Orr and the drummer just do not do the song justice. They were much better with their new music - it sounds good.

bad camera or not, out of tune back-up vocals are just that, & they sound terrible, & they shouldn't you basically have most of the same back-up vocals, the only one missing,but a biggie is Ben& the orig drummer,.now we see just how important they were to the cars..
but again no reason Elliot & Greg & the drummer should sound off, i guess it just takes one off key back-up to throw everyone off.
Well he went and got a Hot wife and when he was asked to come back to the cars he said "Hell No" so the person that said he would try and bring this band back together was todd. I saw them not that long ago they are great this person and her junk cam is why they sound so bad

Todd is perfect to take Ric's seat, and a far better singer.
Get me on bass and Ben's vocals it'll be perfect.

Todd pulls off Ric songs well, but Benny was the BEST. THey carry on, & that's what's most important.
