  • Beautiful pigs. Why wouldn't you let them stay alive? There are so many other things you could eat rather than your own animals. They are so sweet and innocent, they don't deserve to die for food.

  • I love bacon and pork chops (tonights dinner) and curried pork and ham....

  • then u would be eating somone eleses animals thats what farmers do its better than buying it from the shop cos u no theyve had a good life

  • @ohpianoisland You know, a lot of pigs are bred to gain weight for use as food, and if allowed to reach maximum weight, develop arthritis and health issues. Additionally, they wouldn't exist if they weren't delicious. At least these aren't in a factory, but have/had a beautiful life outside. I'd rather see pigs like this being raised.

  • they are cute!

  • Very nice feeder pigs! Love the names porkchop and ham LOL Great vid thanks

  • Your pigs have so much personality. I don't want you to eat them. I know their lives are much better than the poor pigs we eat from the store but seeing these pigs so happy just makes me want them to stay around and grow old.

  • We know how you feel. We too love our farm animals. It's natural to care about living things.

We feel that we have a deeper appreciation for all life through our farming experiences.

    Sincerely - Joe and Dana

  • I bet those ibs are going to be sweet this summer! They look like real healthy pigs.

  • Yes we are going to eat them. You'll notice a roofed area of their pen. We bed that with fresh hay for them as needed. Typically they sleep snugged up to one another. We had a couple of nghts that were literally -50 (50 below) and a couple of weeks -20 this winter. It's amazing how they don't get any frostbite or ill effects at all from the cold.

We feed them hot meals twice a day. In winter there's virtually no danger of parasites and odor from a sloppy pen is eliminated too.

  • Are you going to eat them? Do they stay in the snow? Aren't they cold?

  • Also pigs have no sweat glands. That helps them thrive in cold weather. In summer their skin (especially ears and back) get nasty sunburn. They are not neearly as comfortable in summer.
