Great song one of my favourites. The live song may not sound as clear as on the cd but its Sharon performing, I don't criticise people that I love.

also i'm sick of seeing Evanescence mentioned on every WT video I see. Sharon and WT are way better. Evanescence could never make such a great symphonic metal song like Our Solemn Hour. WT deal with wider issues as well in their lyrics, like war in this song. Ev is too narrow in ideas.

Sanctus Espiritus are latin words that mean holy Spirit and of course Sharon can sing higher notes than Amy Lee. She is a soprano while Amy is a mezzosoprano ;)

i think thats the worst evanescence song, amy doesnt even like it any more she said, and she said she hates the video! but i dont think evanescence is mainstream, i know hardly anyone who likes them very much, they are more than WT and night wish though.

Yeah, they're definetly not symphonic. Evanescence is mainstream to an EXTENT, though. If you think about it: only a few of their singles have made it on the air. I see mainstream as something you would expect to hear on the radio. All of, well, the majority of their singles, have made airwaves. The rest of their music...not AS mainstream...I wouldn't expect to hear "Haunted" or "Lacrymosa" on my local radio station any time soon haha.

Every live performer will have an off day. And to everyone who may be expecting a pitch perfect, perfectly timed performance, stick to the CD's, there's no point in coming to a concert if you don't want some variety in the sets.

This is how I theorize the structure of Evanescence, Nightwish, and Within Temptation:

All three bands are inspired by the same entities (classical music, hence the choirs and orchestral strings in all three bands' music). The only thing that differentiates them is how they choose to implement the classical influences into their music. Again, that's just how I see it.^____^

I still think she sounds a little puffed whenever she sings the chorus.. I think her having to sing the "sanctus espiritus" part 3 times throughout the chorus is a little much for her all in such a short amount of breathe. Does anyone else think that as well?
