we all don't have good health care so we have to give it up so we all have crappy health care but hey we all be covered. Unlike now not every one is covered but any one can get care at an ER soon we will all be cover we just can get the care.

BTW my work place already indicated if this goes thru most likely we will have to go on the gov't plan

Actually what this song (kind of whack, by the way) decries is exactly what's happening now. We currently have people packing the emergency rooms instead of primary care; preventative medicine and nutrition are eschewed, etc. The current system is completely busted. But hey, why get the facts when you can shill for big insurance companies?

Our daughter, and son-in-law, and their 2 kids live in Holland...they talk about possibly moving back to the US...but the major reason they stay is because of Holland healthcare system...they don't know what they might have to face in regards to getting insurance and being able to pay for it if they move back to the US

The only people who want this are those who never had it. England's national health care system is awful! I was there.

@punkinmark Clearly you didnt spend long there what with calling it England's national health care system moron. On the other hand I saw the bill for my friends twisted ankle in the US.

@angrydead - I spent over a year there, catching every bug that people brought into work. I grew up with doctors spending whatever time it took with a patient - 20 min, 30. In the UK, you got 10 and were out the door. They told me it was the NHC system, to only give each patient no more than 10 minutes.

Not saying they weren't nice or professional, only that the system was more faulty. People were put on long waiting lists for operations, or denied care completely.

@punkinmark I'm not sure who 'they' are but I've spent well over 10 with doctors during my life. Honestly I'm not sure what would require him to be in your presence more than 30 minutes.
