  • MUSTARD PLUG FTW

P.S. Colin Clive emailed me once =v{D

  • @allright44

I love Colin Clive and so should you. He's a very nice person. I have so much respect for him and this band. I am a native Chicagoan but went to Arizona State University for my undergrad! Anyways, i made my best friend and girlfriend go to the concert with me and I loved it. Don't get me wrong, nothing is better than a Mustard Plug concert in Chicago at the Metro and that's why I cant wait for 12/27. Bottom line is I love this band and i don't want them to ever, ever go away.

  • @allright44 i'll do ya one better i got dave colin and nate signed the split ep they did with BTMI

  • I love Mustard Plug....

  • god i luv the plug man keeps me up when im feeling down

  • i love the orbit room, saw them with dropkick murphys here a few weeks back, great show, dropkick covered the who and mustard plug covered fugazi, it was sic

  • drew please die. you idiot faggot your mother should have swallowed you with the rest of your siblings that night. FUCK OFF PROPER

  • DDDDAAAAAAAMMMMMMMNNNNN

  • this band is awsome!

  • woah ska iss good :D

  • You're obviously an idiot if you just said an opinion can be incorrect.

  • lol an opinion would be "i dont like Streetlight". U said they were bad. that is defining their skill levels as musicians... i am saying they are really talented. Which is a fact..... Just because u dont like it, doesnt mean u can deny the near perfection that Tomas and the boys can achieve through more practice most other bands....

  • Ahhh I remember seeing these guys like 12 years ago and just sitting at the bar talking to them before they went on. They still kick ASS!!

  • Fun video.

  • ska is jazz on steriods it is so much fucking better then jazz shit man it has all the cool horn licks with a fucking sweeter rythem section rifts "if wolfy were alive he'd be in a ska band"

  • acually it didn't root from jazz, and beside the fact that they both use horns it very diferent....Unless your streetlight, in which case every genre known to man and chuck norris is suddenly combine in pure awesomness

  • read the wikipedia on ska it roots are jazz as well as a few other genre and listen to some fucking ska flames or skaovie and the epitones and tell me they are not influnece by jazz

  • 1. ur basing ur knowledge on wiki.... but ok...

    2. I'm not saying jazz hasn't influenced ska... far from it, but ska originated in jamaica...and not from jazz

    3. jazz can be an influence on ska and its grwat, but u don't say metal is grunge on steroids, although it may have influnced certain bands...

  • I'm sorry, but as a musician and a fan of ska I have to say they are awesome... Not only are they one of the best bands at technical skill, but they are also riding their self-proclaimed 4th wave and bringing ska to places it has never truely gone to.... They can kick it from trad 3rd wave to punk ska to ska in drop d.... and thats just using 3 songs....

  • actually its catch 22 thats riding the fourth wave.

  • actually its streetlight manifesto

  • lol no.. its tomas kalnoky thats riding the third wave.. listen to catch's music, then listen to it after he left.. streetlight is now leading the way, along with BOTAR!

  • geez i was just refrencing to who did the song originaly.

  • *fourth wave

  • ty, accidently wrote third. my b

  • My fave Mustard Plug song by far!! Cool to see it here!

  • why is the lead gutiarist singing?

  • um cause hes the singer too. lol

  • he sings for some of their songs

  • all I Wear at night is a Mustard Blazer

  • this is by far one of the greatest songs i've ever heard

  • I think I saw these guys at the Shelter down in Detroit years ago. I'm pretty sure I did. They put on one hell of a show that's for sure! Kind of disappointed though that there used to be alot of good groups of this music genre around Detroit back in the day and now it's near non existent. Guess times change and the music scene does as well.

  • does the lion city still roar

  • wrong band buddy LTJ is good but not as good as these guys. it is sad how many ska bands have broken up and stop making music, it is so fucking good music.

  • dude i know it was a reference to the detroit ska

  • Thats funny i thought they where from Grand Rapids, next thing you are going to tell me is that milwakee is the same as chicago

  • relax the guy above me was saying that the detroit ska scene was dwindling and i was making reference to the LTG song that asks the same question

  • the LTJ song is actually about weither or not detroit itself is still alive, it talks about how run down it is and how much it sucks to live their. it has nothing to do with detroit ska.

  • well i suppose that the song can be interpreted both ways i mean either way makes sense, although it does puzzle me why LTJ would care so much about detroit if it wasn't for the ska maybe it was a reference more to the dwindling car industry there i'm just guessing

PS i know the difference between millwakee and detroit i live in WI and have visited detroit (red wings game) totally different

  • LTJ is currently looking for a new sound that is why GNVFLA sounds so diffrent from Anthem and In with the out crowd. secondly if you look at a lot of other lyrics vinnie has written he seems to be verry much a humanitarian and that this could be their first step towards becoming more of a political band.

p.s. I live in the IL so cheese heads suck, and go blackhawks

  • ya fuck cheese heads! DA BEARS!!! And also, LTJ's older stuff was their best! Like Pezcore and Losing Streak

  • I'm gonna guess your not from Detriot but me being from there its really not that shitty i fucking love it here, everywhere has its bad parts but Detriot is the best fucking city in the US

  • would the fact i said i live in the IL be the first or second hint that im not from detriot. secondly it is LTJ say ur city is run down not me ive never been there so there for have no clue how much it sucks

  • Check out Treehouse rivals. more detroit ska

  • this is the best song!!

  • thats what's up!

  • seen them live twice

but at both shows there was never really a alot of ppl

it would be great to see them play at a sold out hob la or sd

    they deserve it

  • i hear they play their best shows when they are back home in michagan, im thinking about road tripping up there just to see them.

  • so the friday night at the loft and got up on stage and was singing with them

  • i just seen they live yesturday they did great

  • only heard these guys today but i already think there awsome!

  • It doesn't get much better than this. Mustard Plug, never stop and come to Chicago as much as you can. You guys mean the world to me.

  • insaine ,fucking amazing

  • people just keep on making names up with core at the ending god damn retards

  • lol. true.

  • Cheers.

Btw, one of my fav songs. :)

  • @kickboxingislife actually ska-core is a genre of music.... ass hole

though it certainly wouldn't include mustard plug

  • EEE! I get to see them Thursday!

  • Mustard Plug... skacore? You're kidding right?

One of my all-time fav bands, though.

  • fucking awesome!!!! so dam catchy

  • what?! you tricked frufle! this video has no mustard! you guys are so mean.....frufle always thought youtube was nice.

  • If it makes you feel any better, my friends and I drew/painted a penis on the floor in my school with a bottle of mustard today at lunch. Anything to help.

  • Awesome quality , very high budget for video , nice anyway!

  • lol why is this their most popular song? I honestly think this is their worst song. They have sooooo many better songs. Beer (song), Already Gone, Box, The Park, Mr. Smiley, SKANK BY NUMBERS, Throw a bomb, we're gunna take on the world, etc ,etc. Dont get me wrong, Mustard Plug is my favorite band, but why do people love this song so much....

  • I love the songs that Colin sings. They sound so fucking great.

  • hell yeah...

    fucking showcase theatre!!!!!!

    R.I.P.

best place to shoot that vid!!

  • fuck yea its about peace, unity, and living life the best you can, why the fuck does everyone have to shit all over everything through the internet?haha

  • OP IVY...unity?!?

  • yeh! that songs awesome =]

  • Peatry. Wtf are you talking about? Cuz im completely confused...

  • a music by Operation Ivy ffs.

  • dude. I know what Unity is. I'm just wondering why the hell everyone's talking about it on a MUSTARD PLUG video. If you haven't noticed, Mustard Plug is barely anything like Operation Ivy

  • barely anything like Operation Ivy? yeah i suppose youre right, except that both are Skacore!

  • Well, dude. Yes they are both Skacore. I agree with that. But one thing is that Mustard Plug has horns. And they're both from different times.

  • Woah woah woah. I just made a horrible slip of the click and hit thumbs up when going for thumbs down. Please disregard that +1 because I SURE didn't mean it.

You've got to be a tool if you think EITHER of those two are ska"core" at all. If you want to slap some silly "core" to any ska band, check out the Crack Rock Steady fellas.

  • yea you ass hole dont hate on some ones appoin punX and Skankers arent about that where about peace bro..c ill say fuck green day but dont mean that hes a r-tard u know

    PUNX/SKA LOVE

  • the fuck is anyone talking about

basket case sounds nothing like superman

    r-tard

  • I love Mustard plug

    they sound234234234 times better live

  • yeah it sounds kind alike a slower superman but alot of ska sounds teh same just depends on how they play it or their own personal style

  • thats funny, because listen to the song superman and green day basket case, its scary how similar they are

  • yo island fan, come on how much variety exists in the entire genre of ska! write, play and fuck any judgements.

in all of literature, there are onl;y 3 plots, dont know shit about music (as in writing, ears pretty good), but in literature and art, repetition is unavoidable.

and thsi song does kinda sound like superman, never noticed.

    mustard plug

great fucking concert by the way, circle pits til you vomit

    you never ytold me

  • is it steeling if i wrote a song with these chords A, D flat, D, and E if they're in this song, cause i did and as i was listening i realized the chords sound alike and they do involve these chords in the song butthe way i play it is completely different, we're a rock/reggae/acoustic band we don't play ska so it's only similar chord wise /: ?????

  • Music (and especially simpler sorts like ska and punk) fall back on similar chords. See the similarities between Palchabel's Canon, Goldfinger's Superman, and Basketcase by Greenday.

I'd say if you're uncomfortable with the similarities, change the chords a little bit. Otherwise, I doubt anyone will care as long as the lyrics etc are different.

  • nah man theres lots of chord progressions that are shared by diff bands, its the phrasing, melody, and etc that counts. plus the lyrics make a diff

  • god this band is so fucking awsome

  • This is my favorite Mustard Plug song, If you ever get a chance to see them go because they are even better live

  • I agree. I just saw them last night and it was great.

  • why cant this band re-tour the uk, :( i hear rumours of them tourin wiv rbf in the uk i reaaaaaaly hope so cs im seei rbf 3 times sadly enuff

  • ska rock idols

  • yeah. you suck. sure, they're not the best, but i still go see them cuz they put on a great show.

It's like the more effort the crowd puts into it improves the quality of their music.

  • You're a fucking idiot.

He has an opinion. It's different from yours, but it doesn't mean he "sucks".

  • I like this tune.

  • I think I saw them open for LessThanJake once.

  • I still wish I had a yellow suit.

    Good Band.

  • I first saw this video on Cinema Beer Nuts almost 10 years ago........amazing how time flies.

  • ah, gota love mustard plug

  • man, i remember this album.

    talk about oldschool.

livin' in a box was a much better song though.

it would have made for an awesome video.

  • You can't compare greatness with greatness.

But livin in a box would make a badass video.

  • i love mustard plug sooo much

i saw them live a couple times, and i am about to go see them again whenthe come to vegas on sept. 8th =]]]

  • best ska punk band ever

  • bands from michigan fucking rock go MI!

  • i agree. even though were bankrupt and some other people hate us. our bands rock!go michigan.:]

  • just heard about the band couple of days ago, love them!
