    ALONE AGAIN )

  • I want all of the rare foo fighters songs, i have all the ones i can get off itunes and discs

  • i want all da rare foo fighters songs, i got all da 1nes i can get off itunes and albums

  • I like this better then Gimme Stitches. Dave used the riff from this in that song.

  • When the fuck are these guys gonna put out a collection of unreleased and non-album stuff? Surely a song as good as this deserves to be heard in better quality, and I wouldn't mind finally seeing a good transfer of the Pocketwatch tape being released.

  • my favourite b-side from FF!!

  • @CitizenApagado It is a GREAT, GREAT song! =)

  • William Goldsmith drums on this, you n00bs. It was his last session with the band.

Dave may drum on it, but I doubt it. Certainly not Taylor.

I miss Mr.Goldsmith. Taylor is a good drummer, but he lacks something that William Goldsmith had.

  • @runnersdialzero33 You're right that it's Goldsmith, but it wasn't his last session with the band. It was the band's first real studio session not counting the BBC session they did a few months earlier, and was their chance to 1)see how the band does as a unit in the studio and 2)try out some new material.

Will's last session with the band was TCATS session at Bear Creek Studios in Woodinville, WA.

  • @OldFooFan Shoot, you're right.

Also, I enjoy your screen name.

  • @runnersdialzero33 LOL, thanks. I wasn't feeling too creative when I thought that one up.

  • @runnersdialzero33 How would you know, goldsmith never played on a single foo fighters album, dave did the first two and taylor the rest

  • @MCSKUX Dave actually did a few tracks on There Is Nothing Left To Lose, despite Taylor being the only drummer credited in the liner notes.

  • @MCSKUX that's not true. Goldsmith has two small parts on the clour and the shape, he drums on doll and the slow part of up in arms.

  • @ajmurtagh He might as well of not played, but thanks for correcting

  • @MCSKUX not true. He played the slow part on up in arms on the colour and the shape. get raped. your welcome

  • I'm trying to get all their really unknown songs. Could someone please tell me how to get these. Cheers

  • This was recorded mid-January 1996 with the original lineup, Dave, Pat, Nate, and Will on drums. The other songs they recorded at this session were: Enough Space, Butterflies, My Hero, and Down in the Park.

  • @OldFooFan: Actually, it was all Grohl doing all instruments.

  • @30SecondDogWalk, your fact are way off. This wasn't written until the band was together. I know the exact dates of the recording session, Jan 24 - 26 at Bob Lang's studio. I got a cassette copy of the session right after they recorded it. Butterflies has Pat Smear on backing vocals.

I also have a cassette copy of the original Foo demo rough mix that Dave recorded by himself. It was fifteen songs, the 12 that ended up on the album plus Winnebago, Podunk, and Butterflies.

  • wasnt this supposed to be on the first album?!

  • @MrPookieNinja by the quality of the recording, maybe so

  • @MrPookieNinja: Was.

  • What album or whatever is this from?

  • I'm tellin' ya right now. The line up for the Foo should have been a bit different. Pat Smear, Nate, and Paul Bostaph (Ex-Slayer Drummer) The music would have been even more creative and energetic. Man, what a difference.

  • That is a stupid idea.

  • Have you heard Paul Bostaph? or even Dale Crover from the Melvins? Very similar. Not stupid at all.

  • Of course I have, I fucking love the Melvins and like Slayer, but I think you underestimate what an integral part of the band Taylor Hawkins is and has been.

  • @BPhire What are you talking about? Why bring a completely different drummer into this?

  • did dave drum then?

  • Umm, no he played guitar and sang, Taylor Hawkins drummed.

  • ok :)

  • This song has been around much longer than Taylor Hawkins. Dave does all of the instruments including the drums on this track :D

Personally I wouldn't even consider this a Foo Fighter song as they don't play it live and it's not released on anything. Not even a B-side!

  • this sounds like before taylor joined and it sounds like daves drumming

  • He did everything on the whole song. Isn't it a classic? Another gem that got thrown away. Huge mistake.

  • uno de mis temas favoritos

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE :D

  • Qué buen tema; por momentos tiene aires de Dream Theater.

  • down in the park by gary numan...nice foo version on the X-files soundtrack

  • First time I heard this song I fell in love with it!

And oh, I just want to say a big Fuck You to the world

  • Love your work *thumbs up*

  • This song has never been released. It was recorded by the band in January 1996 at Bob Lang studios. The session included the following songs:

    Enough Space (unreleased)

Butterflies (unreleased; surfaced recording is incomplete)

I'm Alone Again (unreleased; only known recording, never played live)

    My Hero (unreleased)

Down In the Park (released on the X-Files soundtrack)

  • you know that Enough Space and My Hero where released right. Enough Space was on The Color And The Shape Album and My Hero was on the There Is Nothing Left To Lose Album

  • Kaitsguitar,

Yes, My Hero and Enough Space were released later on TCATS, but not the versions the band recorded at this studio sessions. Those recordings were never released.

  • those were the ones not drummed by dave?

  • No. My Hero was released on the second album.

  • sry but i have to correkt another time^^

my hero was also released on the colour and the shape album

  • yea i know that, as i stated in a another comment. i just got the two mixed up.

  • you know that Enough Space and My Hero where released right. Enough Space was on The Color And The Shape Album and My Hero was on the There Is Nothing Left To Lose Album

  • Actually My Hero was on The Colour and the Shape also not There Is Nothing Left To Lose.

    And it's Colour not Color.

  • yea your right i dont know why i got the colour and the shape and there is nothing left to lose confused. oh... and i just had a typo when i spelt out the colour and the shape.

  • down in the park was on tcats also

  • you must have the newer TCATS with some of the b-sides and covers on it because the older one doesn't have down in the park.

  • both colour and color are correct. if im not mistaken in canada we spell it colour

  • colour is correct it's old english americans dropped the u out of many words to make it easier.

  • what single is this song off of? tis a cool song!

  • cuauh05 how do you get all of these old and new foo fighters songs?, you've found like 25 of them!! :)

  • how can i get this song!!!
