Study up on Milton Friedman or any other individual alive during that era. It was't until his death that Businesses and business owners felt "secure" investing in the economy. They were worried before hand of massive tax increases. Think about it....would you put any money at risk if you were going to be taxed 50% or more?

@Tanksareforcowards studied Keynes and have seen throughout history, particularly Europe follow the ideology and they are in a mess we are soon doomed to be in because we have also followed that ideology thanks to people like FDR and Bush Obama etc. Friedman was a friend of Keynes and after Keynes had died, Friedman said his only regret was that Keynes didn't get to live post FDR style economics.

No intent on my part to belittle older folks i am 60 year old guy myself who was involved in the PC business .The fact is the young have had the advantage of learning about PCs and internet use from an early age at school.Many older people have most of their time devoted to full time work raising families and a myriad of other responsibilities.My experience dealing with people showed me most older users are self taught and many only make basic use of their PCs.Hope their are more like yourself.

The only reason I read/listen-to mainstream media, is to find out what most people think (because whatever their told to think, that's what they think, if their told that the best way to lose weight is to drain a quart of blood every day, I guarantee these older people would do it with no online research of the potential risks or if it's totally bunk.).

Freedom is part of it, but I think it has more to do with where young people get their information. The younger generations are more likely to go online and get multiple sources of information regarding the nominees. Everyone 35+ are getting their sources from Fox and CNN. The younger generation gets the truth, while the older generation eats nothing but lies and half truths.

Younger people and computer savvy older people who take an interest in our freedoms have the ability to research anything they want. Personally I think that a person's ability to use the internet effectively has a lot to do with liking Paul. Younger people and computer savvy older people who take an interest in our freedoms have the ability to research anything they want. The Internet has freed us from a limited amount of viewpoints and resources. teach people how to use the internet and watch his numbers go through the roof.

Anyone who is pro war needs to either enlist, enlist their kids. Go see a dead body thats been blown up. Meet a couple of kids thats gotten a limb or their jaw blown off. Meet a child that has seen their whole family killed. Meet a soldier that has gotten back from a few tours,or meet a mentally ill soldier. Where is your heart people? In reality, it was the greed of those boomers that got us here in the first place. Now we have to clean up there mess and they're getting mad because we want to stop spending money. Just look at Newt's comments about creating a state run program to make the youth of America into janitors. "The American Dream; you too can clean up other people's ****." It's the truth-- and the boomers want to keep the house the way their parents left it when they died. People in their 20s have over 50% unemployment-- they are suffering more than any other demographic during Obama's presidency and feel betrayed by the incumbent who promised many things and did not deliver on any of it. The youth of America see a man who doesn't waffle in Ron Paul and they want someone that will do what he says; even if they don't agree with him on every single issue.
