For chase premier checking, I think you need an avg. balance of about 15K to avoid a fee. I've never been charged fees for my Chase credit card.

thats the fee when you sign up to keep a $5000 minimum balance in your account and you dont do it. Read your agreement before opening an account.

Greg you need to move to a Credit Union. Here Hughes C/U offers free checking and "0" Credit Card fees.
