  • tell my the brand and model of your camera please.

  • @TheGer88 My camera is a Chinon Pacific 200/XL

  • Unfortunately Super 8 Sound film was discontinued long ago in 1997. I have seen postings on the internet of people making a sound film, but I don't know if they were successful in marketing it to the masses.

  • Hi is super 8 sound film widely available?

  • Thanks for sharing

  • I believe LittleFilm Lab Services COULD help you, but I'm not quite certain.

  • aww shit i just used a kodachrome 40... i guess ill buy more but do you know how much prices on these things cost and the time? And if you have any other tips please cuz im new to super 8 film I don't really know how to work the camera entirely,

  • how do you even watch it through a projector?

  • @cheezbeenzriz

Yes you watch the film through a projector, but you have to send the film to a lab to be processed first. Sadly the last Kodachrome film lab closed last December.

  • @bandit9ca They don't process Kodachrome color film anymore, but they still do process black-and-white Kodachrome film.

  • @BTBattlefronTV I have heard some people doing this and seen some examples on Vimeo of processed Kodachrome as a B&W negative film (Sepia and reversal versions too). Do you know of lab in North America that will process Kodachrome as a B&W negative at a reasonable price? I heard Film Rescue International maybe able do it but for a considerable price and turnaround time.

  • @BTBattlefronTV Thanks for the link. I'll have to look into this some more.

  • @BTBattlefronTV--To the best of my knowledge, Kodak stopped processing the B&W film ages ago. Back in the early 1990's, I got a few silent B&W rolls. On the film cartridge label (speaking as if it was 1993), it said that Kodak did not process those films even back then. We ended up sending it to a different company nto affiliated with Kodak.

  • @BTBattlefronTV--I wonder where one can send these 200' rolls for developing in this day and age? I have never seen one of these, I've only heard and read about them. Back in the days, one of my folks was really into that super 8 stuff. We still have our vintage, sound, super 8 camera, and it's in pristine condition.
