born in '50, i first heard this blues master at about 10 yrs old. his music was the first major influence in my musical life. at 61 now, i still play guitar and honest i do has a fine riff uncommon that far back and unheard on commercial radio. in his '53 recording of high n lonesome, you can hear the early stones trying to find that sound. they eventually became, 'the greatest rock n roll band in the world"
I have also seen Jimmy Reed in a night club in Cincinnati Ohio, and danced to his music while Jimmy Reed was playing. What a night, one of those unforgetable moments in ones life. I also have one his orginal albums.
This song goes out to my Dad Artie Fuentez of Montclair, California. Rip Daddy. I love you Dad and miss you more than I could ever put into these words. This was one of your favorite songs and it makes my feel your presence in my heart everytime I hear it....
Oh man. Jimmy Reed is the shit. Long live Jimmy Reed. Fo life.

Jimmy Reed so underrated as a musician and vocalist, had a style so free so loose so soulful; I doubt it can ever be successfully duplicated.Rip Jimmy
