  • In Auto mode, is there a live view finder? Like in the display?

  • @dorkiibooo In Still Photo modes, Live view is available in the Program modes (P,,,).

  • I might be getting one soon!

  • @CueChloeMuse Good for you. Shoot lots of pictures and videos.

  • i want this camera but on other videos the quality looks bad but here it looks amazing

  • @stereowintur My secret is to pre-focus (As the professionals do) and film each scene as a scene. That is; not too much panning and going to places not in focus. Cut to closeup and not pan to closeup. Each scene filmed separately. I, too, like this camera.

  • Hi, I just got a canon t1i and I just wanted to know how you uploaded the video onto the computer and what video program or software did you use to upload the video on to YouTube? Thanks

  • @deumic141 I love that camera. It used a SD card which I simply put into the SD slot on the PC. I then transfer all the fills into a pre-labeled folder having to do with the file (video I will be making), I have used many programs with the files, jusdt about every modern video program can handle the file. To know what software I used on any given video, just Google Microdac T1i video. I will usually state the software at the end of the video.

  • Awesome video! Would this camera be good for a new person to the photography world? As well as a person that loves to take high quality videos? Thanks!

  • @KiNFRESHHH It would be perfect, but, if you can afford it, get the T2i. The pictures are excellent and the videos... well, you can see.

  • @microdac I noticed you said "The focus is a nightmare". Is it really that bad enough not to buy it? I kinda have a sweet spot (LOL) for focusing up things and reading words on bottles, boxes etc. Is the focus bad? Thanks for the responses!

  • the camera needs a class 6 or higher sd card, just letting you know

  • @elisepatt149 I agree. Any comments on the sound?

  • @microdac the sound is good,

  • how is the recording more on this camera? how is the Mic on it?...reason why i ask is because i would like to record pract. sessions with my band also record live shows and take tons of pics. The Genre is Metal so its Loud and Brutal. Will i get cut outs? breaks in sound? Im debating between this camera and the Handheld video/sound recorder by ZOOM Q3 HD. I've been using the ZOOM Q3, but now Zoom has revamped their model , by alot...Much help appreciated here. Thanks!

  • @nickzak1 The camera does what it was designed to do, but, I will say that the T2i is better for videos! A gem of a camera for shooting videos of bands is the Canon HV20 video camera. Yes, I know that it is a small camera, but it does perform and do an excellent job of shooting videos.

  • i really hope so..i changethe unit already into a new one coz i thot its just a defect..but still the same:) thank u

  • i got 16gb and class 2.. and i set it to standard quality..do i need to change the suze of memory? coz i used large..

  • @johnmark0221 16GB is plenty! I am not sure about the class2 though. Let's hope someone more knowledgeable than I will have an answer.

  • @microdac i emailed the canon canada already..and they give me na awesome advice, they told me that i should get a high speed memory (class 6 or higher) coz mine in only class 2 though i have 16GB..glad that i still have the warranty of my card to the store and still allow me to exchange it to class 6.. thanks again:)

  • @johnmark0221 I am glad that you have resolved that problem because it is an awesome camera! 1080 (@20fps) is fine, but for most videos and for the internet, shooting at 720 will work great! Be sure to share your videos.

  • @microdac i will for sure. I'll be recording videos this weekend, but not really sure about it. im not that really knowledgeable to dslr for this is my 1st dslr camera..im still exploring things to work out..

  • @johnmark0221 Be yourself - Be creative. If you can see and appreciate it, then you can record it. While you are at it, make some money to buy more cameras: Go to

  • hi, i have a problem with my t1i video feature..it will take only for about 25-45 seconds of recording and it will stop eventually, i tried already all the options in the setting but still wont work.. can you help me fixing this problem? thank you

  • @johnmark0221 What size SD card and at what setting? I use a 8gb (class 10) card. Maybe a viewer has an answer. Sorry to hear about your problems. My scenes are rarely over 15 seconds long.

  • your video quality could be poor aswell as your photo quality because your are using a class 4 you should be using a class 6 or higher

  • @derektg3 I agree. I am now using class 8 or better cards now. Look at my latest video on YouTube. The quality (even at 720) is much better.

  • Hey when I plug in this camera on my Mac (I've just bought it) I upload all the video that I recorded in 1080p and when I open it in iPhoto, I'm always disappointed, I expect Full HD, but it turns out quite grainy.... Any tips?

  • how long can u record hd video for?

  • @arepepe Depend on the size of the SD card.

  • ugh, i have a T1i and mine doesn't look as good as yours. is there a reason why? ):

  • @iharthotdogs Check your software and video card

  • When i record in fulll HD my video looks so grainy on my t1i not as good as yours

  • @paintborgfun . What software are you using. Some software has to render your footage in another format before you can edit. here is an idea: Download the trial version of Corel VideoStudio Pro and try that, BUT, and this is very important: BE SURE TO HAVE AND USE QUICKTIME version 7.6 (Not the newer version). Good luck and let me know how that worked for you.

  • @paintborgfun Also, for the Internet, shoot in 720p (Not 1080). The quality is godd for the Internet.

  • does this have any art filters

  • @Sunshockey14 The kit lens: (18 - 55mm) is 58mm and there are millions of filters available for that filter size.

  • great video. thanks!

  • it's really clear, but loading the video is a nightmare even with broadband.

  • the video is good. so clear on the fly.. i want this one simply for video and some photos. thanks

  • 18 - 55 mm Kit lens (That comes with the camera). I am using a EP Class 6 16GB SDHC card.

  • what lens and memory card did you use?

  • Thanks!
