  • haha the show is much better than the movie... but also there are things in the movie that old Get Smart fans would pick up on, like the shoe phone and the cone of silence.

  • @scarebear83 I like both, but the movie made me laugh my ass out.

  • @FashionBabe2468 Same here XD

  • Aw, K-13 :)

  • Yeah, Barbara Feldon did have a very nice voice... she was just so ...MEOW! :)

  • LOL, good thing the Theater is nicely placed next to Control HQ... short drive :)

  • Love the Shoe Phone.

  • shoe phones rule. =) lol cone of silence. XD I've recently gotten into it and I've already seen all of seasons 1 and 3, and the first five eps of season 2. =D

  • The cone of silence is a favorite gadget of mine, whenever the Chief and Max are using it, they can't hear a word each other is saying lmao, a great show, the movie last year certainly was pretty good.

  • Americans are always very good in casting such show...this proves one of the best comedy t.v show ever produced."Get Smart" is uniquely great. Thanks for uploading.

  • Wish I had a shoe phone.

  • this is an awesome show

  • The old shoe phone before moblie phone

  • I love this show...my favorite episode is A Man Called Smart. It's hilarios.

  • Boy: New York Mets win double header! Max: New York Mets win double header. Boy: Yes. Max: Any developments from KAOS? What about Dante and the inferno? Are you 99? Boy: No, I'm 6 1/2. 99: New York Mets win double header. Max: I know, I know. 99: But you don't understand. The score was 99 to 86. Max: Are you 99? 99: 86. Max: Yes.
  • I think it's black and white because in the first GET SMART episode, movies, shows and cartoons were still black and white.

  • well that and its like old as hell its been there since 1975 Favorite old Tv show next to charlies angels

  • ooooooooooooooooooooooh scary!

  • AND OMG!!!! the infermo! professor dante! yay! this is like the endish part of our play...

  • ha! our school is having a play ---> get smart! its awesome! Princess Ingrid is captured and yeah.... I'm May! It's a funny play for drama!

  • Why is this black and white?

  • This was the unreleased pilot, it was filmed in B&W

  • the real reason is because its been there since 1975

  • 1965, September 15th, actually..

(Sorry for being so picky, but I have the season 1 case right beside me and it shows the date of when each episode came out, so I thought I'd share something)

  • Love this show hehe.

  • I really like get smart

  • The Cone of Silence rules!

  • DYK that the number "86" was put on merchandise that was defective?

    Imao maxwell....

  • Now why in the heck is this show not on tvland anymore!!!! I mean COME ON!!! My dad loves this show and the movie and so do I!!

  • Well, if he is such a big fan, he can spare $200 and buy the box set. And if he's a REALLY big fan, there's coupon codes you can find on Get Smart fan sites to get you 25% off... =)

  • I am 13 and my dad got me into watching this and other classic shows. I see now that they are great.

  • That's great Agent 68's 'mobile' went off back in the 60's!

  • Just like in the movie theatres of today. Stupid people don't put it on vibrate.

  • I was going to comment on the same thing... so I gave you a thumbs up.

  • cool I

  • Ha, ha, the very beginning it starts with a very prescient gag, sort of like the cell phone going off in a theatre!

  • sounds to me like the agent in the locker calls max 89.

  • well i used to watch this serie ages ago i was a little kid and the tv was black and white got some souvenir of it like max stuck in a washing machine and in a garden chasing by some robots like turtle with wheels and teeth i really seek for those two episode

  • Should've set his shoe to vibrate!

  • oh sure, so his foot would flail about kicking everyone else, lol.

  • I'm looking for:

Get Smart, The Girls from KAOS

  • Look @ 2:00. LoL! Can you imagine making a U in DC at any time of day or night now-a-days???

  • lol cool and funny I liked the part when he gets locked in the closet and when his teliphone went off

  • Max smoked on camera, 'Rimland', because his primary sponsor was R.J. Reynolds {Salem cigarettes}, and they wanted Don to "light up" at least once in every episode, including the "integrated" commercial (when Max delivered a humorous pitch for Salem) at the end of the episode...

  • Max was is and will always be Ultra Cool!

  • At the time the pilot episode was filmed, in early 1965, 'pan', NBC was still scheduling black and white series. When the network bought the series in February '65, they requested it be filmed in color, as 98% of their prime-time schedule would be telecast on color that fall {only MCA/Universal's "CONVOY" [because of actual stock footage] and Sidney Sheldon's "I DREAM OF JEANNIE" for Screen Gems/Columbia [HE wanted it in color, and they said, "Save your money"] were produced in black & white}.

  • "WHY ARE WE TALKING ABOUT HONG KONG?!"

I don't know why but I find that line (and the delivery of it) so incredibly hilarious.

  • 9;37 funny

  • This is in black and white because: back in the day (1965) color film was expensive, so for the pilot episodes of new shows studios would film in black and white so if the show bombed they wouldn't lose as much money. The show didn't bomb, so they started filming in color

  • @fbcfayar

Hey thx for great back story, factayar! Just out of h.s. in '65 and still wish they'd kept in in b&w...lol. Thrilled to C-it here atta Y-T no matter what. I <3 Get Smart! ^_~\\

  • Smart, Maxwell Smart. Agent 86.

    Bond, James Bond. 007.

    Everybody jump on that Bond-wagon!

  • Classic!

  • "Are you 99?"

    "No, I'm 6 and a half!"

    LOL

  • why is this one black and white but the next one color?

  • Because in between Episode 1 and 2 color became the new standard.

  • "Hodgkins...raise the Cone of Silence."

    "What?..."

  • Max is smoking on TV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    That is crazy!

actually, in the new Iron Man movie, the bad guys in the caves smoke, which is way I noticed here!

Smoking on TV or in movies doesn't happen very often anymore!

  • I want some more please

  • wow your smart josh. it was made in `1965 dumb ass

  • Why it in black and white screen??????

  • The show came out in 1965, when did color TV become the standard?

  • Strahdvon, the fact is that the only B/W episode was this one, which is the Pilot Episode. Would you believe the entire first season was B/W? Just kidding. Hope this helps friend.

  • i'm sory, i also doesn't know

  • Barbera Feldon- rarararar! Sexiest voice in the biz!

  • The show phone should vibrate instead of ringing. That way other people wouldn't hear it and it could also be used as a foot massager.

  • but that wouldn't be funny!

  • I meant to say not

  • This show was the best thing ever. I loved this as a child, and still do. Thanks for posting these...

  • can't believe they didn't credit platt as chief on opening credits....

  • Edward Platt was added to the opening credits

until the start of the second season

  • The only black and white "Get Smart" and his introduction to 99, this is valuable. And the episode is hilarious to boot. This is before many of the jokes became repetitive. Great thing about Smart is the old jokes kept being funny throughout the series.

  • Thanks for posting this.

  • cone of silence never gets old

  • love the intro

    love the show

    thanks for the uploads

  • This was filmed in black & white because NBC didn't ask for a color pilot episode in early 1965 (this was after ABC passed on this pilot episode)- after it was sold that February, NBC insisted the series be filmed in color for the following fall...

  • i love get smart. grew up watching it on when tvland used to be good and nick@nite

  • Get smart, F troop, dick van dyke, danger mouse, hong kong phooey, wacky car races, man those were they days, an im only 26 but i grew up watching the old school flicks

  • Classic Wonderful Show!

Though I was born in 1983, this is what I grew up watching, thanks to Nick at Nite.
