I just bought one of these today and it seems a little tempramental. It has "Musked" a few times and dosent really seem too keen on me but that might just be because im new. Did yours Musk much and if so how long did it take to relax around you?

@edderz101 no she never musked she was bit jumpy but i just let her come to me n feel relaxed round me n ive never been bit by any of my snakes yet n ive been keeping them for over 5 year

@toby1996sadgrove there easy to find my dad found me a baby in the wild so i now have it and there bites dnt hurt or anythiing there not poisinious so there perfect pets. which as babys need to eat 1-2 times aweek. which babys eat pinky mice the one in this vid can eat mediem mice. i love king snakes haha

Your feeding her wrong, if you keep on shoving the mouse in her/his face he/she will become stressed and therefore more aggressive.

@toby1996sadgrove i think they make good beginner snakes but they are alot more active than say a ball python.....king snakes have been known to be a bit more tempermentle but my personal opinion is that it all depends on the snake....although it looks like my cal is one of those she is a pussy cat and ive never been bitten by any of my snakes ......if ou are looking for a snake that could sit on you and chill out i recommend the ball pythons but i think king snakes make excellent first snakes

man my snake does the same thing, ill feed him 2 fuzzies a week because that about the size he is and im trying to regulate his growth, but when i go to get him, ill wash my hands right, so the scent should b gone, but he acts as if my hand is a mouse so i gotta b very careful getting him because i kNOW he will bite me :P
