I have three canker sores right now. One on the inside of my left cheek, one under my tonge on the right side, and another at the back of my throat. It's literally killing me, I cant eat anything except things like soup, and half the time i can't even eat that because of the salts tht are in the soups. It's so painful.

I use a product called Orajel. It temporarily relives pain while over time, speeds up the healing process. Without treatment, cankers will still take their time to go away on their own. With Orajel, the cankers typically start to dwindle around a week, lasting no longer than about 10 days tops.

ugh i hate canker sores. i'll try the peroxide even though the idea grosses me out. orajel is awesome though. kinda nasty when it dries up but it works really fast. more like 1 or 2 seconds.

A cheaper method of getting rid of canker sores is just using mouth wash throughout the day after meals. Works wonders every time. Thumbs up so others can see!

I just jam them with my tounge for a few minutes every day(yea it hurts really bad) but then once you're used to that pain it doesn't hurt when it's just sitting in your mouth lol

Anyone suffering from painful mouth and throat ulcers should do the following for relief. My mother suffered from mouth and throat ulcers for 20 plus years and cried many of nights as a result. My mom said this was a life saver and the only thing that has ever worked for her. For relief call your physician and ask him to call in Triamcinolone Acetonide Dental Paste USP 0.1 %. The paste comes in Rx only and in addition use Orajel to counter the pain, good luck.

I had a dentist swab a couple of canker sores with debacterol. One quick stab of pain, numbness, and the pain was gone. Basically it's acid. It cauterizes the gooey, painful part of the sore instantly. I use a small bottle and apply very small strokes with a small tipped sable brush. It seems to zero in on the gooey part exclusively. You will never want any other method with dealing with a canker sore if you try this stuff.

i handle my canker sores by drinking milk and eating as less as possible but when i do i cut it into small pieces and eat in the back of my mouth so i only have to move my jaws up and down as to not irritate the sore

@joeu5431 unless its bothering you more than a usual canker sore bothers you, then there is nothing the doctor is going to do or say that you dont know already-gargle with hydrogen peroxide, saltwater, or peroxyl, etc.

He might be able to give you some strong drug that can get rid of it.

Canker sores don't go on the lip, that is either a cold sore or something else. Canker sores form inside the mouth, around the gums, etc.

also, you can use Alum(food perservative) to help. Just wet a cue tip with water and get some alum powder and put on sore. It wil probably burn but will numb and heal the sore. Keep in on the sore for 20-60 seconds and spit it out
