Whoever wrote this climax - fair play to them. There's no more appropriate way for the character of Max to have died than by saving his little brother and by slipping away in OB's arms and telling him he loves him - makes it seem so sad. Ok, fair enough, he should have dived as he pushed Tom, but it's still rather well executed for a soap - and well directed too; one of the most convincing car hits I've seen in one of these shows. No convenient camera angle changes or slow mo. Very good.
