  • I would like to see Peter talk about how the higher deductibles would also on average save people money just because there is no insurance expense/profit loading on that amount. This is separate from price competition.

  • as usual, Schiff is right. Looks like our political leaders haven't given up the Broken Window fallacy.

  • Peter Schiff for Senate!!!

  • Awsome explanations Peter!!!!!!!!!

  • Peter needs a better example than breast implantation.

  • I agree.

He sometimes uses the eye surgery example (I think it's called lasik) which I think is more "socially acceptable" because it's something a lot of people have.

I know two people that have had it and my Dad is about to have it too.

Either way we're lucky to have Peter because like many above have said he explains things so completely and in such an accessible way.

  • Everybody likes breasts, I guess.

  • isn't Mike Bloomberg a citizen that ran his private company before he became a mayor?

  • Schiff knows too much. Its scary.

If every teacher i ever had explained their subjects as clearly as Schiff, Id be in Harvard right now.

  • this is the best argument why cost are so high I've heard, using house/plumbing examples and breast implants, etc. The more real life examples are given, the more ppl can relate to it and understand

  • Yes you are correct. Peter has a great knack for explaining economics to the layman. I hope he runs for the Senate from Connecticut. Go Peter.
