Many religions have laws that would generally be regarded as good. However, despite men's obligations towards women in the Qur'an, it allows men to beat their wives. The Gospel, contrastingly, contains no mandate to beat any woman. Even in a situation of adultery, Jesus teaches, "Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her" which contrasts with the 100 lashes of al-Nur. I know which teaching I think is more enlightened.

The Gospel of Jesus and the Qur'an could not be more different so we all have to decide which is a more enlightened and which is a more base teaching. The Qur'an contains nothing quite like Jesus' words "love your enemies", "bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you", "resist not evil". On the contrary, it says, "fight and slay the pagans", "fight the unbelievers", and so on, commands of a type completely alien to the teaching of Jesus.

Much of the NT were letters written to Greek-Gentile churches, I don't understand how this can be misunderstood. I also agree Jacob means Israel. It is extremely important to realize that Jesus used Aramaic when he was teaching,

You must take the whole Bible and apply it to itself. The Bible does not contradict itself and it is the most accurate historical document known to man. The Bible doesn't condemn one or more than one however as an Intelligent person, you understand that there are fewer temptations to sin if you have only one wife and fewer problems in the home.
