@spockistheman Hard to argue with that one man. Gotta give props to him for coming to UK when they were in the dirt, props to Pitino for being persistent in recruiting him. I think that UK should hand a jersey with MASHBURN on it. But, that's just me and the same thing for Patrick Patterson.

This is one of the best UK teams ever that didn't win a national championship. All we needed was another big man to compliment Mashburn. Dent or Riddick really didn't cut it. I would put this team up against the 2010 Cats with John Wall.

That was 1996. Duncan wasn't there yet. This was the year of Rodney Rogers. Either way, we dominated Wake in 93 and in 96.

The 93 UK team was my favorite of the Pitino era...they were the first team he had that was super talented....96,97 squads were even more talented as a whole, but this 93 team was all heart and played with everything they had.

This 93 Kentucky team had the best first four rounds of the tournament I have ever seen. Absolutely demolished Rider, Utah, Wake and Florida State without so much as getting breathed on. It was like watching the Dream Team destroy teams those four rounds.

Why was Jamal Mashburn spent his entire career, college, and NBA completely underrated? Mash tore it up in college, and average 20 + ppg in the nba. Oh yeah, he scored 50 pts against pippen.

@wakechamp1 Because he didn't show ignorance, rob anyone, steal anything, do drugs or make the game/team about himself. That's why. He's reaped the benefits of his hard work, he owns so many restaurant chains and other business' that I can't remember them all. Basketball wasn't the be all, end all for him either.
