Instead of adding useless features... Please make your graph editor better. Not more buttons and not more gimmicks... But more like xsi please. Also please fix your manipulator ball, I would like to select things behing the rotation ball without having to switch tools or shrinking the radius. Be more like xsi please.
@Marshix How can putting the graph editor directly in the viewport, thus allowing to edit three-dimensional attributes in one go (3 curves instead of 9 is quite convinient imho), be a "useless feature"?! Au contraire, it's about time they made the work of animators a much lesser pain in the ass, cuz I don't knwo for you but to me dealing with countless curves and tangents when it could've been done directly in 3D was goddamn painful. This feature rocks and I pray that it 's in the final product!
@stakrw Take a look at XSI modeling tools. It RAPES the living hell out of maya modeling. After you extrude all ur stuff. what next. You still need to tweak line flow and do a LOT of stuff. Maya needs to implement the conviniences that XSI has.
@Vikramthewhite Although XSI doesnt perform that well in the modeling section compared to mod-specialized 3d apps, i agree that it outperforms quite a bit the Maya tools - pretty much every 3d pack. has superior functionalities. XSI is a separate beast, youre right, much more sophisticated than any other out there, on many levels. Just saying, that modelling can be done in free 3d apps much better/quicker than in Maya- imo modelling is not that essential, you can get around it in multiple ways
Spline based motion paths are nothing new. this actually shows how BEHIND maya is. But the Speed adjustment on the Spline is a very innovative feature.
and wtf would you rather use hmm? Lightwave?! Given Maya is stains for certain things, like fluids, but as far as animation goes it's pretty much the stones,
NICE!!

I have an idea, Maya should have a plugin called: Turn into XSI
It will fix all the graph editor problems just like that!

I have done same feature for Maya 2011 with name of 'as_AnimArcEditor'.
Type 'anim arc editor' in youtube and watch my video. download link is given below that video.
One can download this 'as_AnimArcEditor' from creativecrash site by searching in google.

Zbrush for modeling, Maya for animation and dynamics, and nuke. That is my take on this.

This is going to be incredible. I've been waiting for this kind of feature for at least 7 years!
