There is no such thing as a 'wrong' key, only a different one. Lots of classical music is played in various keys, depending on the performer. That's the beauty of it!

I particularly like the sound of Greensleeves played in D minor, but it's such a lovely song that it sounds hauntingly beautiful in any key!

Comment to Gery: Since this is my favorite song, I've got to comment. I think what you hear is a whole step between the 4th and 5th notes. You may have heard it performed with a half step between the 4th and 5th notes. Both versions are correct, and as far as I know, one does not supersede the other. One gives the song a more haunting, minor feel.
