Тебе повезло, что твой дед выжил. Там было соотношение потерь 10 русских на одного финна. Финны отстояли свою независимость. Не то что всякие прибалты, которые фигу в кармане держали.
This has nothing to do with Finnish folk dancing. This is an interpretation of the subject by Russian dancers, possibly professionals with ballet background. Finnish folk dancing doesn't look like it is an army marching. I like the funny choreo, though. It's good to have some new choreographies, but please, don't think it is somehow original, traditional, or even Finnish. This is new and Russian.
As I said, the choreo is copied from the Americans (do a little searching) and even if the Finns did make this version world famous in 1963-1965, this particular clip is, I repeat, too ballet, too Russian, to be original Finnish dancing. It is like me, as a clumsy person trying to do exquisite Japanese movements and calling my stomping subtle.
Not very original Japanese, even if I did copy the music and the moves. This, again, is not very Finnish, and based on knowledge gained in a physical education class in school, I'm afraid, you should probably not make the judgement you are doing. I have somewhat more
knowledge of this subject than does your phys.ed. teacher, if (s)he is average - not that that is bad. And I didn't say your teacher was wrong, I said the style in this video is far from authentic, and in that I'm right.
Looks like more fun than the Macarena. Good way to mingle and mix. Instead there is the huddle of boys in a group and a huddle of girls on the otherside at a junior high school dance, with no-one wanting to make the first move.
Jenka is a style of dance performed in Finland, much like a polka or shcottiche. I was in a Scandinavian dance group years ago that was mostly Swedish, but we did dances of all the Nordic countries. Our instructor, Hilkka from Helsinki was great and made all the Finnish dances really fun!
...и по мне тоже :). Простые люди и там и здесь, хотят жить мирно, но к сожалению, у политики свои интересы, которая для своих целей, может рассорить кого угодно :(. Спасибо за комментарий.
oooh damn LETKAJENKKA! we dance it here in finland in every single schoolball we have... so embarrasing and the most fun thing that you can do in school ^^ almost everybody attends to it, really :D
@moimaailma Aw, now you're breaking my heart! It is so cute, so amusing, how can you not love it?! You have to make allowances for me--I do all sorts of dance; I will dance to anything that isn't nailed down...In America there is a formerly popular social dance called "The Bunny Hop." It looks very like this--I would bet anything that it is decsended from this dance.
wonderful!! the dancers were amazingly good. are you making any gigs in your neighbour country, finland? i'd really like to see your performance someday!
Это на самом деле только подлиннее..

@Klonkkunen ничего не удержали. отсиживались в окопах, ни разу не атаковали, а войну начали по сути они, отказавшись подписывать мирный договор.
почитай ка Сталина про это

Usually the idea is that this speeds up as well, this video didn't quite reveal it.
I'm a Finn, and I don't know what 'jenkka (yenk-kah)' means, but it's much like polka etc.
'Letkajenkka' means a jenkka you dance in a queue (long line).
