you will notice it automatically overwrites the old file. now when you check your ringtone on your phone it will be the longer file. enjoy

there is a way to put any size file you want for your ringtone:

first you need to load a file that is less than 300kb. go in to your phone and make this file your ringtone. now go back in to your music editing software and make the song as long as you like. when you save/export the file overwrite the smaller file. drag and drop the file in to bitpim.

here are some EXTREMELY difficult steps that you must follow PRECISELY in order to upload videos, else your phone will explode.

1) you put videos into your memory card

but here is a serious answer: shine supports real media, mp4, 3pg... pretty sure thats it

Sorry forgot to mention before all steps previous, you must delete the original 'Message01.mp3 (or Message02.mp3 etc)in the 'Message Tones' in your phones folder as in this video .

If you want to use the MP3 as a MESSAGE TONE listen up! (IT CAN BE DONE_ TRICKY)

First whatever program you use to Edit to Ringtone, save the shortened ringtone (much shorter , remember it is a message tone), as 'Message01.mp3'.

4. Now in the BitPim program , in the 'Message Tone' folder (where you deleted the original , 'Message01.mp3), upload new file as in the video and select your new 'Message01.mp3 (or Message02.mp3 etc..).

anyone should be smart enough not to DELETE RANDOM FILES, so why don't you try and tell us when your phone turns into a pretty brick =)

a) something maybe wrong wit ur lame.dll if you're using audacity

b) your file may be to big

c) you may have accidently saved the .aup (which is the audacity file, not mp3)

save a message tone named as one from the phone, and replace the exisiting one..

this is the only way unfortunatly, remember to backup your defeault sound incase u need to bring the phone in, so u can replace it back with the original =)

i double clicked the "\" folder and for some reason no other folders are coming out. You told me it will take a minute or two so I decided to wait but it says ready at the bottom left corner for the longest time and it really doesnt seem like its doing anything and when i do double click it, it says retrieving for a split second and it goes back to "ready" without any other folders.

Hey again. Ive figured out how to make Ringtones Songs, all you need to do is go to zedge(dot)net

In there make an account, you can download everything in there and make a ringtone. It shows on the left Ringtone Maker.

Hey man, its me again. I got my LG Shine and lovin it but im still having problems with putting songs into it. I followed every procedure and step and I still cant find the ringtone i put in Bitpim on my phone. I use Audicity, lowered it a lot. But it has the .aup

something like that, how can I fix it? Cause I think thats the problem

i think ur actually saving the "project".. basically ur saving the audacity file, u have to export as MP3
