Realy awsome dmg by mages, however there is 1 more class that can deliver a deadly punch- fury warrior. His burst dmg is more than OP with recklesness and death wish on at same time. U used to hit over 160k using heroic strike. Arcane is a spec u can u in PvE and PvP. Fury warrior...well only for PvE.

@Arthas144 I agree with you totally that arcane mages are silly easy. Though they tried to make it a little more difficult with Cata for having to manage the mana but still there isn't a lot of spell variety. I'm still forced to be arcane now for firelands fights where we need someone that can hit like the arcane mage does. Here is to hoping 4.3 can bring some other equal specs.

I personally have hit as high as137k as an arcane mage on live realms. There is no damage cap, but the only reason he hit so hard here is because during this quest you get a massive buff.

@NerdyNinga I now this quest. It's a nice quest. It isn't a private server. With Varian and the alliance you have to attack undercity for (i think) try to kill a medic undead. i don't now anymore.

But you get an instant heal when you get any dmg ... and your dmg is pushed very hard

lol in that quest gives you a 100 or 80% of damage it's normal wen i did it with my dk using HowlingBlast i did moore of 120k and in total of quest i did just like the linch king life in 10 man heroic mode. :S

On Howling Blast, that spell can hit for crazy amounts I've seen on my DK.

@MrFerrariF360 The addon I was using is the Raid UI pack that is on Curse.com. What gives it that look is Spartan UI mainly, but it hasn't been updated in a very long time so with 4.0.1 it was kind of broken. Still works fine for mages, but Paladins, Druids and Shadow priest don't have their new bars showing up.

And yea the whole thing of mages just managing mana and AB spam is kind of boring I agree. Unfortunately doesn't look like that will change either in cata.

@LandFisken The buff you get when doing the taking back undercity quest does a huge damage increase. That's why some people say this is cheating, but like I said it was just for fun. Anyway, arcane now seems to be all about having as close to 100% mana as you can and if you are at full mana plus 4 stack of arcane blast buff then you will hit hard.
