If you walk into a bank with a big check, and then start getting angry when the bank takes it's time verifying your identity and the validity of the check, it's pretty logical that you would raise some red flags. You blow up at them, then run out. How would they not think that's fraud?? It looks bad on the surface, but actually listen to what he's saying. How "impatient" did he get? Did the employees feel threatened? Nah, just shit on Chase cause they're big, don't worry about reporting.

Guy was arrested a few days ago for driving off with a Hummer. Still waiting for details. May be a theft, may be an extended test drive that the dealer changed their mind on but couldn't get the hummer back right away so called the cops.

He settled with chase about the false arrest thing but doesn't say how much he got, he might have plenty of cash to buy a hummer and actually was on a weekend test drive (they do have those...).

If the cops simply took this very good and decent young man to a magistrate as the law requires them to immediately do, the magistrate would have been able to prevent this man from spending 5 days in jail and he would still have his jib and car. The cops didn't do this, but committed aggravated kidnapping / false arrest by taking this man directly to jail for booking and imprisonment. It's almost funny how the felons with a badges tried to place the fault for aggravated kidnapping on the bank.

The only true criminals in this story was the cops. The law requires them to take the accused before a magistrate to determine if an arrest is justified and issue, or deny, a warrant of arrest. The magistrate then creates the paperwork to go to the court to begin immediate due process.The cops didn't do this, but took the man to jail which was aggravated kidnapping. They then copped to felony posession and disposal of court documents when they released the victim from jail absent court process.

The cops engaged in a clear criminal act.

When I was to withdraw some money one day, The Manager Called the Police and I left the Bank with me receipt and they Chased me 4 miles and into WellsFargo Bank and Yelled "Earl just Robbed our Bank". As the Manager of Chase ordered 2 people to Tackle me, 30 customers of WellsFargo dropped to the Floor for Fear that I had a Gun. I almost got killed - literally! "Chased by Chase"
