@WeegeePerson No, A search engine (such as google) is based on key words,
such as-
I put in funny. I find Things such as
-funny video
-Funny cats, can i haz a chez burger?
So, if you put in a keyword, its impossible for it to lie to you, The website you go on would be lieing to you, like for instance if i search funny again, and this time i find a website that says "Funny" on the page, then you click the link, and you actually find that its a site about Politics, and it says "funny" at the
@frizzykid100 bottem, it means it found a site, that said funny on it, and put it on the search,
If you looked through google, ask, yahoo, etc you would actually find over a million pages for most search results, Not because its lieing, because they found the word on the website,
So as you said before, "If its programmed, yes it can" If you program a search engine to lie to you, Its not a search engine, because its not searching anything,
@frizzykid100 Hmm, then explain why if I look up something like "I Wanna Rock" I get tons of Justin Bieber videos. The truth is that Google doesn't put the actual top results at the top of the page, just the results that are new or popular. So, in a way, it does lie to you.
@WeegeePerson Like i said, When you type in "I wana rock" those are key words, And it does put the top rated results at the top, Google is a search engine, And your searching "I wana rock" and that could mean that on the page, it could say somthing along the lines of that, Also, theres a possibility that if your getting a video or a page with lyrics, they say it some where, So the theory of "google lies" Isnt necessarily true, it shows you the results of people who searched "I wana rock"
First- I just searched "I wana rock" and found the band who wrote that song, nothing about justin beiber
Second- If for some strange reason that did conme up, It'd be because of somone searching that before, and then finding that search result, and clicking it,
Google lies..? Where did people hear that from GOOGLE? o.o
