No, the footage in the 130 movie is from 130. The clouds were lit from below by the booster plumes. You'd be surprised how bright they are. They really do turn the Cape to daylight.
WOW...great footage, editing & music...Wish It it could seen on Imax! You have captured and magnified the power, magnificence and aw of space flight...great job!
I wonder what will happen when China puts their flag on the lunar surface... I'm not saying the moon belongs to us, but I AM saying we should never have stopped going in the first place!
Wow, just amazing. Huge props to the editor. I got to see some things from angles I've never seen before. That and the addition of the sound was great, and the music was perfect.
Whats the song at 1:29?

@ParaglidingManiac At the end of the video, the music is listed in the credits. That should help.

I see what I believe is some STS-129 footage from the window 4 Minicam going thru the clouds in the day light. Is this true ?
mach25man 1 year ago
It was cloudy that night aswell
bigdrevideo 1 year ago
129 was a day launch. 130 was night as you say. You should not be able to see the clouds at night.

You can when the shuttle is illuminating the clouds for miles around.
Boy75402 1 year ago
Understand what your saying. But the illumination should be behind the orbiter unless their doing thruster firings. hard to say...

Only for now.
In the meantime, we may have gained more, if the new intentions come to pass.

The last night launch of the shuttle...
Truly, a flight to remember.
thirdclass2006 1 year ago 3
Not really. They've moved the next launch (STS-131) to April 5 at 6:27 am EDT. That isn't really night but still dark.
And remember, 4 more flights to go so likely some will be postponed so maybe another night launch.
