Maybe I got too used to the W211 E-class this new one is quite controversial. The new C-class is a damn pretty car so perhaps if they made a bigger C-class that would look much better in my opinion.
If you look carefully, the body styling of the w212 touches points with the CLS. Look at it from the side, there is a decent bit of resemblance. And I know for sure no one was in love with the CLS the first time it was seen. Now it's a damn beauty to behold.
The front styling is somewhat impressive, a good followup to the w211; a shift from the circular headlights back to more rectangular shaped. The tail lights are obviously the conflicting factor here. I personally like the new w212.
Mercedes-Benz's new line up was amazing, until this. What were you thinking Mercedes?! This is awful, the tail lights are pitiful. Overall, it looks like a cheap car. Its nothing like a Mercedes should look like. The S class and The C class look 100x better than this. Also the new SL and GL class are also very very nice cars. Its a shame that you ruined it with this E class. Very disappointing Mercedes, I hope you get it right next time. The car industry can't afford to get it wrong!

mmm, this e-class is my dream :) all in black, avantgarde, E 500....
and it, looks much more better than previous (w211 - that was ugly !) w212 is a mix of w124 styling and new merc line.

A Mercedes-Benz star on the hood by the Avantgarde. That's the way it should be, not like the C-class with the star in the grill.
