Faryl is much more secure in pitch.That's not opinion but a fact to anyone with a keen ear.Whether the difference is a matter of vocal control or innate sense of pitch is harder to decide but for me Faryl is the more naturally musical girl.
I have just been watching videos of Faryl aged 15 singing at Llangollen 2011. I have to say that she is far superior to what Charlotte was at that age. At 15 Charlotte's voice was beginning to show the consequences of neglect due to her partying, smoking and boozing. This video is a good example of that.

There is no "vs." They're both incredible talents. Charlotte has chosen to take another path, and Faryl will have her own choices to make. Let us just be thankful for the time that each has given us to enjoy their talents.
They are both really good, but remember Charlotte is a Soprano, where as Faryl is a mezzo, so her voice will sound a bit richer with deeper tones, but Charlotte can hit different pitches... they sing these songs entirely different from each other, so a competition comparison really isn't fair.
First and foremost, it would be unfair (especially to Faryl) to compare these two--Charlotte's a soprano, and Faryl's a mezzo. They are not in the same vocal register. Faryl's range is not only lower, her voice is also richer and darker. Comparing Faryl to Katherine Jenkins would be fine (Katherine's a mezzo, too.) Or maybe Charlotte to Hayley Westenra (although Hayley is more pitchy.)
I agree with some, the way Charlotte is going, she would have ruined her voice early. Alas, she had not made it out of her teens when she had difficulties singing (if you heard her last classical album Enchantment, you know what I mean.) As for this song here, Charlotte may have too much vibrato for her age, but it is still quite good. Faryl, though, has much more voice control, and apparently, hopefully, she'll still be singing classical as I don't think she'll be careless with her voice. :)
That is a darn good analysis eoarwyn. I was thinking somewhat the same thing but I was a little lost in pulling it together. I might add for those not familiar with opera tha darker means lower, and as you said, richer in registry. I confess I have a bias toward mezzos.
People, people. The jaw-shake that Charlotte does is not to produce vibrato, but it is an effect of vibrato. My grandfather was a professional singer/ coach and his vibrato, like Charlotte's, was so strong and diaphragm-oriented, that other parts would shake as well subconsciously. Charlotte Church uses the right technique and she is simply amazing <3
Faryl is veeerrry good, too, but in my opinion, Charlotte is better.
@TheSylviaElena Then your grandfather's technique was as poor as Charlotte's. Her vibrato is not generated by the diaphragm but is created by excessive movement of the lower jaw. Her vibrato may sound good but the technique is awful.
I was gonna pick Charlotte hands down. But after I heard Faryl, it completely changed my mind.
I'm sorry Charlotte, but you should've stuck to a classical genre. And let me just say that you had a better voice and you were prettier when you were younger.
I know the comment by 'bigstrongboy1' was sarcastic, so no disagreement there on the essentials. Having said that, NO amount of money could be worth the loss of Faryl's voice. Let's all hope her trainers and parents (and Faryl, most of all) keep that in mind.
I much prefer the Faryl version basing it on these two videos of her and Charotte Church singing. Remember too that Faryl is 3 years younger than Charlotte was when she sang in Jerusalem in 1991. I just hope and pray that Faryl doesn't go down the same road as Charlotte did and end up as wild and rebellious as she has. I'm sure Faryl's parents are very protective of her and will guide her career in the right direction.
No child should attempt to imitate an adult - at least not in their singing. It had a disastrous effect on Charlotte Church's voice, even though she always sang with a microphone. The vocal chords and supporting musculature just won't take it. Perhaps Faryl Smith's team will be more careful with her but it's very unlikely to turn out well. She will have made a lot of money, however, which is surely the main thing.
Just curious, is a singer supposed to vibrate their bottom lip when doing vibrato? I've heard other's say that this is wrong and that vibrato needs to be done from either the throat or the stomach. (I'm talking about Charlotte)
Vibrato should be controlled from the diaphram so that it is produced by the vocal folds. To use the lower jaw to produce it is not good technique as it involves continually altering the shape of a resonator, namely the mouth, after the air has passed the vocal folds. The physical effort to produce vibrato does often cause a small movement of the lower jaw. But when perfectly executed there will be no discernable movement of the lower jaw.

This Ave Maria is the Gounod/Bach version. personally I prefer the Schubert. But when Faryl recorded this for her debut album she did sing the high note.
Charlotte was without a doubt a class act when she was younger, as Faryl is now.
It's a crying shame that Charlotte turned out to be a foul mouthed drunken person later in life!! Let's hope Faryl doesn't follow the same path and is only known and remembered for her god given talent.
Any comparison is unfair on Faryl because she is conceding three years to Charlotte. The only time you can make a comparison is when they are both roughly the same age. Did Charlotte sound as good as Faryl at 12, doubt it.

They are both amazing! Charlotte however, attacks the high notes which I am not so keen on. She also gets her vibrato from moving her mouth which is wrong... She still sounds amazing though! Her tuning is better than Faryl's, and also her pronunciation, but I prefer the tone of Faryl's voice.
Charlotte's voice is too mature and she is really hard to understand. She actually doesn't sing properly I was told by a voice teacher. Faryl seems to have more natural talent and I prefer her voice much more.

Charlotte would never have worked on a cruise ship. Nothing against cruise ships but Faryl seems to be going backwards. One minute in Wembley, the next singing onboard a Saga Cruise. I feel a little bit embarrassed for her!
That's not fair. Charlotte is ahead of Faryl by 3 yrs. Imagine what Faryl can do with 3 more yrs? By the time Faryl is 15, her vocal range may very well be extended. By the way, Charlotte is shaking a bit and appears to be trying a little too hard. Faryl on the other hand makes it effortless. At 12 yrs of age, I think she is absolutely superb. My basic point being that there should be no comparison due to 3 yrs of age difference.
Tho, I doubt Charlotte sounded as well as Faryl when she was 12.
I think charlotte is better, ahs a much more mellow and haunting voice, also stronger. re the mouth wobble I think se just did that to copy pop stars such as whitney heuston
I feel that there are major vocal fallacies in both performances. Charlotte wasn't trained properly in breath support by her teacher, which caused her to develop a wobble on her lower jaw when singing high notes, very evident in this performance. Faryl has a very good grasp of proper breath support, but her tonal quality is incredbly nasal, which isn't exactly my cup of tea in singers. Also, her diction is awful.
I think BOTH girls are good singers, but definitely not the best out there.

In my opion and Isaid my opinion so dont give me no attitude about MY OPINION both girls are terrible. There voices sound I cant even describe it because its so terrible. But its funny how they look when they sing their mouths makes funny shapes. Also even though both girls are extremly ugly I have no idea what that first girl thought as she was putting on that pink dress because that looks like some1 just vomited on it and it looks like plastic. Charlotte is a soprano, Faryl is a mezzo, in classical singing sopranos always get the attention, and mezzos are just another part of the orchestra, so neither one of them is extraordinary,but Charlotte's better.
Charlotte will be coming back to sing Classical and she will be even better. She will be having Dexter christened at the end of August and then will be coming back
Given that CC was 15 at the time of her taping and FS was only 12...my vote is for CC...If you actually listen to her voice, you can hear it's very mature and the tone is perfect. Both great singers at such young ages...the X factor is where will Faryl Smith be when she's 15? Will she be around or just fall off the planet in the next few years? We can only hope..
Faryl Smith is much better; superior technique and richer tone. Charlotte Church was alwas overrated, due to the novelty factor.She was good for her age but never as goodas a pro. Faryl Smith is now up there with the pros already.
Wow, did you hear Charlotte on not only the high notes? Her voice matured PERFECTLY by the age of 15. I don't know about Faryl, she's still young. But here the Charlotte's quality and tone of voice is top notch, whereas Faryl's is still novice-ish
Also, she is 23 years of age so will look older. The MUSIC is what is important & Charl WILL be back. She is looking after her babies at present. That includes sleepless nights sometimes - that does not bode well for looking stunning!
Forums are places where you ARE ALLOWED to disagree and give your own opinion. My opinion on music is that it is very good by both girls. They love singing & that is wonderful!
I feel considering age Faryl has a more mature voice,in 3 more years her talent will grow at 15 she could be much more polished in turn be better than Charlotte.
Vocally for me, Charlotte Church is far better than Faryl Smith.. However, if some of you are deciding on looks, i think Faryl is prettier than Charlotte.. But overall, both of them are good..

I am sure you'd agree with me if you heard them - I was mesmerised! They are respected by the whole world of music as an ever changing group. Dont have recordings as individuals, so can't put on Utube. They have appeared on TV many times & at RAH - also sung in the 2008 Proms at Cardiff and RAH. They have been sensational for 40yrs. I saw some singing by girls last night that would blow the socks off anyone. They are girls and five or six mezzo sopranos were equal to and better than Faryl with amazing control and technicality. Tennagers 13 to 19. The sopranos were tremendous too and they have the best singing teacher in the world!
Where were these super beings? Who is the best singing teacher in the world? You never miss an opportunity to knock Faryl do you? You constantly keep mentioning all these fabulous schoolgirl singers you know who are miles better than Faryl. But we never get to see or hear them for ourselves do we? Why not put them up on YT so that we can judge for ourselves rather having to rely on your highly biased account.
I don't think people should comment on what Faryl does at school hiwai. The comments should be about music, singing and nothing else. And not writing nasty things!
I like the soprano voice too, very beautiful and feminine. Everyone goes mad over mezzos. You can't really compare the two as they are very different. Charlotte is a lovely singer and will be even better when she comes back to us!
I'm welsh, so bound to be slightly biased- but I own all of Charlotte's albums, I love her voice- faryl's might sound more strong/mature for her age- but i prefer charlotte's sound generally. And if we're going on personality/stage presence as well then charlotte for sure!
i like faryl better coz her voice seems to have some feeling in it and she can also control the pitch properly. age wise she is younger which gives her an advantage because her voice is slightly bigger thn charlottes.

I am sure she is a sweet girl most of the time, and occasionally not, just like anyone else, but we're obviously not going to figure that out here, so just enjoy her talent.
Personally, I think Faryl. I don;t believe the person who said she was a right 'bitch' - I'm usually a pretty good judge of character, and Faryl just has something about her that sparks of 'down to earth'. I never liked Charlotte, she always seemed a right bitch to me.
Voice wise, you can't really compare. Charlotte has a weaker, soprano voice, and her elocution is bad. Faryl has a rich, warm alto - mezzo-soprano voice, and has much better elocution.
Well she is. On TV she's obviously going to give off that impression. But if you met her when the cameras arent rolling and she strutting round the corridors like she owns the place you'll see a different person.
The only down to earth geniune part is that she can sing. Well. And her style kind of contradicts who she stands for but yh. Dont be fooled people. As far as her voice goes she amazing but its all gone to her head.

I always defend Faryl to her critics eg they say she is bigheaded. I do not agree with this - she is well grounded.

Faryl spends little time away from school. The longest period would be a promotional tour as in the US which was two weeks. She is provided with work by her school and has a tutor to supervise her studies. When she is at home her life runs as normal. She goes to school and is treated the same as her peers .I don't see any problems with that arrangement. I don't think that the classical environment is based on celebs. And it is you who does an awful lot of criticising.

Yes you are right -people develop at different paces, Charlotte has always been amazing and Faryl is just so mature for her age, but had earlier struggles with the really high notes. It is not right to compare them as different voices i.e. you can't compare a mezzo with a soprano!
There is a 3-year difference in their ages. One would expect Charlotte to be more developed vocally than Faryl who was only 12. Charlotte sounded different too when I saw her perform at the age of 10.
They are different in their specialties so let's not take away from the gifts of either. They are both great, in their own right.
If you enjoy listening to these two wonderful singers you will certainly enjoy listening to the many songs on You Tube sung by Becky Jane Taylor. She's really great.
It seems a shame that whoever posted this video had to call it 'Charlotte Church vs Faryl Smith. Both girls have beautiful voices and as the clip emphasises, they are very different but there is no competition. For me, I prefer the richness contained in Faryl's voice and really look forward to hearing her as she grows and matures. Britain's Got Talent - thank you for unearthing such a gift.

Truth is for me Faryl at 12yo here, had a much more mature voice than Charlotte at 15yo. But yes I would love to hear Charlotte singing again. But now it would be like starting all over again for her. Especially in the Classical genre! :S
I sing as well and a pure soprano, and very sensitive on voice. I think this song suits Charlotte's voice better especially in that phras " et in HOra.....", Faryl couldn't reach the high note and she changed it into a lower note, which I think make the song sounds weird. Faryl has a really loud and super deep voice (mezzo voice), she will suit better to sing songs with lower note, may be even lower than regular mezzo soprano's,but she's great too.
Well you are right that Faryl didn't sing the high "hora". I'm not so sure that she couldn't though, as she does sing it on her CD version. I also heard her sing it at her album launch.
Leave charlotte alone. She is gorgeous and has a beautiful soprano voice. A voice that we have only seen the child version of! She has given birth to two babies (that is what women are made for) and she still is beau. Stop it please- it is not decent and nice what you are saying. Get a life! Charlotte WILL be back!
Unless it had escaped your notice, Charlotte has just had two babies back to back. I know for a fact that Charlotte is working out to get back in shape. Shes always going to be bigger (and I dont mean overweight!!) than Faryl as she was the first young soprano. She also didnt need reality TV to get her fame. Read her book and you will see that her family and Charlotte worked hard to get where she got. I admit she went off the rails a bit but trust she will make a comeback!
Im not saying Charlotte wasnt excellent, because she was. But IMO she went of the rails long before her two kids came along! My friends often saw her stumbling around in nightclubs, and she did demand choclate cake before going on stage!!
To be fair she hasnt done too bad for herself! OK she went off the rails for a bit but shes back on track now. Shes given up smoking and that makes you gain weight as you start looking for a substitute but trust me Charlotte will be back better than ever and I mean the classical side!!!
I think that you will find that Charlotte first appeared on a talent show hosted by Jonathan Ross where she was sponsoring her aunt. She sang a few bars of Pie Jesu then. It was from that appearance that her career began. As for being the first young soprano, I think you will find that the 12 year old Julie Andrews holds that record. The standard set by her has not been matched by anyone, including Charlotte and Faryl. Though as Faryl is a mezzo an exact comparison can't be made.
I don't know why my above comment warranted a thumbs down because it is all true. But regarding Julie Andrews all I ask is that you look up two of her vids. 1) When she was 12 "polonaise-mignon" and 2) when she was 15 "The Blue Danube". Then ask yourself this question. Does Charlotte a fellow soprano aged 12 or 15 equal this standard. Faryl being a mezzo definitly couldn't. Both vids are on You Tube.
faryl has a much deeper voice than charlottes charlotte has a soprano voice she can gets to the high notes towards the end of the song which Faryl doesnt do she takes much lower notes as she must be a mezzo PERSONALY i prefer Charlotte voice for this song as she sound so angelic and i like the higher range voices for this song both a good but it comes to personal choice

I just saw a clip of Holly Stell. She's good too. When I heard Faryl sing I was blown away. I don't see why people have to debate who's better, when it's really only a matter of preference. There both talented.
I think its a real shame Charlotte stopped singing like that, and spoilt her voice with fags and drinking + lack of maintainance, she was great back then, beautiful and delicate. Faryl always surprises me with her depth and richness, its hard to beleive a 12/13 yr old can make mature, elegant sounds like that! Must check out her new album at some point.
I agree with Mike on this point. A lot of people make comments as if they are the foremost authority on singing. Most actually do not know the first thing about singing - or what the training entails!. That's OK - they are allowed their opinion, but please don't claim it as fact -when you actually know nothing about singing! Both girls are amazing!!!
I like Charlotte myself! I like her for many reasons and one is because she is a natural performer ( always essential in singing) - she did so well with the acting on her own show and was hilarious.
I thought she was a wonderful little singer as a child - and very appealing-childlike.
I like people who are only human too. Funny & loveable. She is a lovely performer!
She is younger but doesnt mean she is better! There are so many opinions on singing - all will be different. A lot of people who are not knowledgable will have opinions and these count too. Faryl has received a lot of publicity from Britains Got talent and its tour. Others do not have this publicity, but are good singers. Neither are DEFINITELY going to Opera singers. They have to successfully audition to Opera Companies first. They have to act role, be brilliant performers & very talented

People, people. The jaw-shake that Charlotte does is not to produce vibrato, but it is an effect of vibrato. My grandfather was a professional singer/ coach and his vibrato, like Charlotte's, was so strong and diaphragm-oriented, that other parts would shake as well subconsciously. Charlotte Church uses the right technique and she is simply amazing <3
Faryl is veeerrry good, too, but in my opinion, Charlotte is better.

I much prefer the Faryl version basing it on these two videos of her and Charotte Church singing. Remember too that Faryl is 3 years younger than Charlotte was when she sang in Jerusalem in 1991. I just hope and pray that Faryl doesn't go down the same road as Charlotte did and end up as wild and rebellious as she has. I'm sure Faryl's parents are very protective of her and will guide her career in the right direction.

No child should attempt to imitate an adult - at least not in their singing. It had a disastrous effect on Charlotte Church's voice, even though she always sang with a microphone. The vocal chords and supporting musculature just won't take it. Perhaps Faryl Smith's team will be more careful with her but it's very unlikely to turn out well. She will have made a lot of money, however, which is surely the main thing.

Just curious, is a singer supposed to vibrate their bottom lip when doing vibrato? I've heard other's say that this is wrong and that vibrato needs to be done from either the throat or the stomach. (I'm talking about Charlotte)

Vibrato should be controlled from the diaphram so that it is produced by the vocal folds. To use the lower jaw to produce it is not good technique as it involves continually altering the shape of a resonator, namely the mouth, after the air has passed the vocal folds. The physical effort to produce vibrato does often cause a small movement of the lower jaw. But when perfectly executed there will be no discernable movement of the lower jaw.

Any comparison is unfair on Faryl because she is conceding three years to Charlotte. The only time you can make a comparison is when they are both roughly the same age. Did Charlotte sound as good as Faryl at 12, doubt it.

They are both amazing! Charlotte however, attacks the high notes which I am not so keen on. She also gets her vibrato from moving her mouth which is wrong... She still sounds amazing though! Her tuning is better than Faryl's, and also her pronunciation, but I prefer the tone of Faryl's voice.

Charlotte would never have worked on a cruise ship. Nothing against cruise ships but Faryl seems to be going backwards. One minute in Wembley, the next singing onboard a Saga Cruise. I feel a little bit embarrassed for her!

That's not fair. Charlotte is ahead of Faryl by 3 yrs. Imagine what Faryl can do with 3 more yrs? By the time Faryl is 15, her vocal range may very well be extended. By the way, Charlotte is shaking a bit and appears to be trying a little too hard. Faryl on the other hand makes it effortless. At 12 yrs of age, I think she is absolutely superb. My basic point being that there should be no comparison due to 3 yrs of age difference.
Tho, I doubt Charlotte sounded as well as Faryl when she was 12.

I feel that there are major vocal fallacies in both performances. Charlotte wasn't trained properly in breath support by her teacher, which caused her to develop a wobble on her lower jaw when singing high notes, very evident in this performance. Faryl has a very good grasp of proper breath support, but her tonal quality is incredbly nasal, which isn't exactly my cup of tea in singers. Also, her diction is awful.
I think BOTH girls are good singers, but definitely not the best out there.

Dont have recordings as individuals, so can't put on Utube. They have appeared on TV many times & at RAH - also sung in the 2008 Proms at Cardiff and RAH. They have been sensational for 40yrs. I saw some singing by girls last night that would blow the socks off anyone. They are girls and five or six mezzo sopranos were equal to and better than Faryl with amazing control and technicality. Tennagers 13 to 19. The sopranos were tremendous too and they have the best singing teacher in the world!

After listening to many performances from each singer, Faryl is obviously a more disciplined, consistent performer.
If you compare them at the same age, Faryl's superiority is even more obvious, but Faryl is better today than Charlotte today.
It is no wonder that Charlotte left classical. She doesn't have the control to stand with real classical singers. I think Faryl will.
BTW ... Faryl's performances today are far superior to this BGT performance.

Personally, I think Faryl. I don;t believe the person who said she was a right 'bitch' - I'm usually a pretty good judge of character, and Faryl just has something about her that sparks of 'down to earth'. I never liked Charlotte, she always seemed a right bitch to me.
Voice wise, you can't really compare. Charlotte has a weaker, soprano voice, and her elocution is bad. Faryl has a rich, warm alto - mezzo-soprano voice, and has much better elocution.

Faryl spends little time away from school. The longest period would be a promotional tour as in the US which was two weeks. She is provided with work by her school and has a tutor to supervise her studies. When she is at home her life runs as normal. She goes to school and is treated the same as her peers .I don't see any problems with that arrangement. I don't think that the classical environment is based on celebs. And it is you who does an awful lot of criticising.

There is a 3-year difference in their ages. One would expect Charlotte to be more developed vocally than Faryl who was only 12. Charlotte sounded different too when I saw her perform at the age of 10.
They are different in their specialties so let's not take away from the gifts of either. They are both great, in their own right.

Truth is for me Faryl at 12yo here, had a much more mature voice than Charlotte at 15yo. But yes I would love to hear Charlotte singing again. But now it would be like starting all over again for her. Especially in the Classical genre! :S

I sing as well and a pure soprano, and very sensitive on voice. I think this song suits Charlotte's voice better especially in that phras " et in HOra.....", Faryl couldn't reach the high note and she changed it into a lower note, which I think make the song sounds weird. Faryl has a really loud and super deep voice (mezzo voice), she will suit better to sing songs with lower note, may be even lower than regular mezzo soprano's,but she's great too.

Well you are right that Faryl didn't sing the high "hora". I'm not so sure that she couldn't though, as she does sing it on her CD version. I also heard her sing it at her album launch.

Leave charlotte alone. She is gorgeous and has a beautiful soprano voice. A voice that we have only seen the child version of! She has given birth to two babies (that is what women are made for) and she still is beau. Stop it please- it is not decent and nice what you are saying. Get a life! Charlotte WILL be back!

Unless it had escaped your notice, Charlotte has just had two babies back to back. I know for a fact that Charlotte is working out to get back in shape. Shes always going to be bigger (and I dont mean overweight!!) than Faryl as she was the first young soprano. She also didnt need reality TV to get her fame. Read her book and you will see that her family and Charlotte worked hard to get where she got. I admit she went off the rails a bit but trust she will make a comeback!

Im not saying Charlotte wasnt excellent, because she was. But IMO she went of the rails long before her two kids came along! My friends often saw her stumbling around in nightclubs, and she did demand choclate cake before going on stage!!

To be fair she hasnt done too bad for herself! OK she went off the rails for a bit but shes back on track now. Shes given up smoking and that makes you gain weight as you start looking for a substitute but trust me Charlotte will be back better than ever and I mean the classical side!!!

I would be pleased to see the classical charlotte church back, just not the "poppy" mouthy one.
I guess im just bias as such a big Faryl fan,shes so lovely ^_^. When I watch oMusic tv and she comes on,it lights up my face :)

I think that you will find that Charlotte first appeared on a talent show hosted by Jonathan Ross where she was sponsoring her aunt. She sang a few bars of Pie Jesu then. It was from that appearance that her career began. As for being the first young soprano, I think you will find that the 12 year old Julie Andrews holds that record. The standard set by her has not been matched by anyone, including Charlotte and Faryl. Though as Faryl is a mezzo an exact comparison can't be made.

I don't know why my above comment warranted a thumbs down because it is all true. But regarding Julie Andrews all I ask is that you look up two of her vids. 1) When she was 12 "polonaise-mignon" and 2) when she was 15 "The Blue Danube". Then ask yourself this question. Does Charlotte a fellow soprano aged 12 or 15 equal this standard. Faryl being a mezzo definitly couldn't. Both vids are on You Tube.

faryl has a much deeper voice than charlottes charlotte has a soprano voice she can gets to the high notes towards the end of the song which Faryl doesnt do she takes much lower notes as she must be a mezzo PERSONALY i prefer Charlotte voice for this song as she sound so angelic and i like the higher range voices for this song both a good but it comes to personal choice

I just saw a clip of Holly Stell. She's good too. When I heard Faryl sing I was blown away. I don't see why people have to debate who's better, when it's really only a matter of preference. There both talented.

I think its a real shame Charlotte stopped singing like that, and spoilt her voice with fags and drinking + lack of maintainance, she was great back then, beautiful and delicate. Faryl always surprises me with her depth and richness, its hard to beleive a 12/13 yr old can make mature, elegant sounds like that! Must check out her new album at some point.

I agree with Mike on this point. A lot of people make comments as if they are the foremost authority on singing. Most actually do not know the first thing about singing - or what the training entails!. That's OK - they are allowed their opinion, but please don't claim it as fact -when you actually know nothing about singing! Both girls are amazing!!!

I like Charlotte myself! I like her for many reasons and one is because she is a natural performer ( always essential in singing) - she did so well with the acting on her own show and was hilarious.
I thought she was a wonderful little singer as a child - and very appealing-childlike.
I like people who are only human too. Funny & loveable. She is a lovely performer!

She is younger but doesnt mean she is better! There are so many opinions on singing - all will be different. A lot of people who are not knowledgable will have opinions and these count too. Faryl has received a lot of publicity from Britains Got talent and its tour. Others do not have this publicity, but are good singers. Neither are DEFINITELY going to Opera singers. They have to successfully audition to Opera Companies first. They have to act role, be brilliant performers & very talented
