I remember this series back during the summer of 1987(being in 8th grade had ended and 9th grade/Freshman in HS was 2 months away).

Too bad there wasn't a season 2  for this "monster" series.

This was one of the TV shows from the 80s that was sooo good that got canceled. This was one of the ORIGINAL shows, along with Married with Children & the Action Pack (including William Shatner's Tek War movies), that LAUNCHED the Fox network. You'd think they'd want to release this on DVD.

@MrNicMachiavelli Which was borrowed from the vampire character in "The Night Stalker", a 1972 TV movie which led to a 1974 one season series of the same name,both were fantastic,if you like X-Files you'll love Night Stalker.

wow, i remember watching that prelude when i was 7 years old, scared out of my mind. great show but short lived. i would love to see it make a return to tv, but i doubt it would be done the same. probably suffer from cheesy cgi and lose its grit, like American werewolf in Paris compared to American Werewolf in London. Even the Underworld movies are overdone and try to be too "edgy", though the first movie was decent. this show still has the scariest and best looking werewolf i ever seen.
