I think Cris Barnes vocals are good for cannibal corpse's old playing style before george entered the band. And I think that George's vocals are good for their new playing style. But you have to put it in this perspective, George can hold screams longer, and he can actually scream high pitched, and he can actually growl too. Cris Barnes, cant scream, well he can but it sounds like shit, but I like his growls and grunts. But CC after george joined got better both vocally ranged and instrumentaly.

And also in these days with Six feet under and the new lineup they play Hammer smashed face or Stripped, raped and strangled like the old CC did in 1993/94. Fisherstyle can easily be covered, barnes? Have fun :) CC was awesome.

But oh well, if I enjoy new CC it's because I think a singer doesn't make a whole band even if George's style is worse or not. Nevertheless vocals influde in melody; and it's obvious that new CC is different 'cause they're adapting their music to Fisher's vocals.

Chris was a little late to be a pioneer but he is still VERY much a blast from the past and made Death Metal what it is today. 1,000's of people could fill his shoes, it's bullshit George replaced a man that wrote + sund his own lyrics. Cannibal Corpse rips, but upon listening to this compilation, I prefer Chris Barnes to George Fisher. Both are good, but the original vocals and style just make it. I hear so much hating on Chris Barnes, which is ridiculous. I agree that Six Feet Under is not as good as corpse, but in the end both Chris and George love death metal and that's all that matters in the end.
