This is the best way to kill one of the most beautifull arias I know.
You make a pop version of it, this is not the opera! This is just killing. You are a murderer of one of the most incredible arias of Puccini. You are a good pop singer but this is just really bad. You sing like Michael Bolton, a pop singer too, but not like a Domingo, a Björling or a Caruso.
@MrComric Does it matter if he sings like them? Chris sings just as well as any opera or classical singers out there. Not only that, he's not just hooked on one type of music. You can here the different influences in his voice from different artists. Freddie Mercury was the lead singer of Queen, a rock group, and he put out an album of complete arias. You don't have the right to judge Chris Clancy. You are not the composer nor the performer of this piece and therefore have no right to criticize.

@GoldDogTVProductions it's a Shure SM7B it's a good mic for heavy vocals but Michael Jackson used it on thriller so it's kinda all around. It's got a low output on it so you need a good quiet pre-amp to use it effectively. I'd prefer a condenser but I just don't have the money for a good one
@clancychris Thanks, it looks like the same mic that Randy (From lamb of god) uses in the making of sacrament. Your voice sounds great here and I love the vocal sound of that album too, if it is the same one, i will probably invest in one. :)
@GoldDogTVProductions I know Randy primarily used an SM58 (or beta) on the sacrament. He rarely uses anything more expensive as he cups the mic a lot and it's part of his sound.

To listen to you kick ass in Mutiny and then come and hear you sing BETTER than the lead tenor in Turandot that i saw last time in 2008 really just shows how you are one of the most talented singers to not only come out of England but any womb. I wish Pavoratti was still around today so he could come try to sing Oblivion so he could try to prove that he is better vocalist than you. I hope you and Mutiny get the recognition and fame you guys deserve.

The key is lowered. The original one which requires more 'talent cells' is of a higher key( which is more difficult).

It is amazing when people are open minded and can listen to and perform various types of music, not concentrating on something one, but it requires so much talent that very few can actually do so. This guys is indeed a very talented singer.

You're awsome man! I found the mutiny within album at a local record store, and normally they don't got metal albums (or heavier things that Lady Gaga...).

I love your band, and you can sing realy awesome ;) I have to say I REALY love your Clean vocals :O No offense, but I think your clean vocals are better than your grunt vocals in Mutiny Within. But keep going!

My friend showed me Mutiny Within a few months ago and I fucking love them, I was SO impressed with this guys voice after hearing their music, and he has SUCH talent after hearing this too.. CHRIST I wish I could sing like that. I hope I will one day :D
