  • best part is form 0:00 to 10:04

  • on lui excuse sa chemise

  • joscho... ist real tough men !

  • That's some of the most awesome stuff I've ever heard.

  • joscho - first class guitarist, one of the best around, whatever music field you put him in.

  • needles to say - great guitar playing, everything is so well put together, amazing technique, dynamics and the sense of melody. but what this style of music lacks in general is the communication within the band. there is none. you might as well replace the rhythm section with a rhythm track. camera work tells you everything - there is nothing really going on other than the soloist, no call and response, no space left for the rest of the band. craft? yes. art? not in my opinion.

  • great mix of tastefulness and virtuosity. Pink Panther!

  • hahaha, call of the mountain king and james bond! great teases.

  • Yes, he is incredible

  • yeah the minor one as fat as nobody else played it in history

  • josho stepahne at the moment is the best is ,in fact nobody of the greats ones like Stochelo ,angelo debarre and others wants to play with him(of course i like stochelo and angelo) .

only frank vignola and tommy emmanuel tried to play with him

  • One of the best solos I've heard in my whole life.

  • Certainly one the very best manouche players today!

  • Props to the rythem guitar. It's not easy being the rock

  • this was awesomeeee!!!

  • Two thumbs down ? I didn't know deaf and blind people could use a computer...

  • getting better year after year

  • 4:33- 4:44 WTF ...

  • manouche pour toujours

  • I'd love to hear a little of Gunter solo Also the conversation going on in this is crazy good

  • I'd love to hear a little of Gunter solo

  • Some of the best gypsy jazz playing I've ever seen

  • Oh my GOD!

  • amazing handjob

  • arr, too great! incredible! :) thanks for uplaoding!

  • Joscho is an extremely good guitarist . In the Netherlands we have Stochelo Rosenberg and his trio, they are very good sinty musicians. i dont know who is the best, maybe Stochelo and Joscho should play together one time. But i love this music!!! GREAT!!

  • @steinderbusch Actually they have played together this or last year on a jazz festival in Dresden (Germany). There are also some photographs of that venue somewhere in the int0rnet.

  • phenomenal

  • so great!

  • I don't know how anyone can critisize him. He is awsome. I like the different medolies sewn in here and there.

  • @m6255 that is the art of citation, i like it too.

  • jespero93 - you are right but this is not the disadvantage of the player. It was the fruitfull work together with Django and Stephanne which makes it possible. For the next step there is a violin player necessary like Garrett to make it possible. The musical quality grows when the musicians come from different art directions.

  • yeah i guess.... grapelli was also very good at creating melodies so the two of the were kind of unstoppable i guess. you have to have some sort of inspiration or source if you want to create something i guess. and the two of them together were just that for each other. i guess =)

im sorry if you dont understand, im swedish =)

  • he's great. although there is one i miss with every gypsy jazz player. that django had. its that sense of creating a melody. it would almost be like a new song every time, that you could hum around on during the days. there are few players ive heard that could do that. django could.

dont get me wrong, joscho as the rest is fucking great, i just feel that they all lack something.

probably will get thumbs down for this but, i say whats on my mind =) hope you understand.

  • I dont know.. What about stochelo rosenberg? I think as well as being able to play fast, he can also make it musical and very emotional at th esame time. That why stochelo is my favourite out of them all. (Obviously django goes without saying)

  • Impossible!

  • Joscho is absolute first class. He's shure one of the best.

    I also like the bass.

There are not enough stars for this.

  • I completely agree with you, one of the very best !!!! I met him in Samois in 2001- he is not only a fine guitar player but also a very kind person !!! :-)

  • I don't know why people take shits on him for being too technical. I mean he plays with awesome feel which is what most people respect but not every jazz musician can play crystal clear fast and technical licks like Joscho I mean you gotta respect that too. He mixes technical licks and licks with feeling half n half.

  • Wow, 1:41 is just great... I'll keep watching... :)

  • wow slower than normal, its brilliant.

saw him live in kilkenny, he was fantastic, nice guy too

  • He is the Roger Federer of Acoustic Guitar.

  • Sounds great !

    Groet Paul

  • Stunning soling! Inspiring!

  • I agree with Qpidon this is

an incredible solo, orgasmic like a wonderful woman !

  • Yes!!

  • when I see something like this video, I want to put my guitars in the cases for a while..... just the time necessary to forget it.

Than, I can play the guitar again.

  • btw: this is the most amazing guitar solo I've ever heard in my life....

This HAs to go to my facebook buddys...

Man, what a player that Joscho!!!!

  • its half time Barça-Manchester

I cannot find a better way than to watch this to kill the time!!

    What a blast!"!
