  • I hav a cottontail too and i dont kno how to find out how old it is, i bought it from a pet store called Petland. And does it depend on its age to feed it formula??

  • they would look a bit cuter if the video was in high definition...

  • Rabbits are awesome!!

  • how long should you feed them formula? my cat got to a bunny, and i found him in our computer room. He was still breathing. He wasnt bleeding inside, is nose was just scratched alittle. He loves us. We are thinking about keeping him, scince my dad says he smells like human, and his mother would not accept him and let him starve. I say hes about 1-3 weeks old. Should we still feed him formula? (P.S. he loves to be pet, cuddled, handles, ect. is that normal??)

  • It's hard to tell if he still needs formula..but PLEASE do not keep it. Get a domesticated bunny if you want one, but not a wild Cottontail. He will turn wild before you know it, if he survives this long, meaning he will be afraid to death of people, as he should be. And bunnies can die of fear, I have seen it with my own eyes. So please, if he eats greens and runs away from people, put him out in a big field by a creek and some brush.

  • ver nice love rabbit they are ace

  • Question: I found a shallow burrow in my yard today with a few bunnies. I'm not going to mess with them, but I haven't seen the mother. Should she be around, or does she go adventuring during the day? How do you know if the bunnies are orphanned, and if they are, how old must they be to survive on their own? Right now, they're HotPocket sized. I don't plan to try to help them, I'm just curious what their fate will be. (There's a good chance my neighbor sniped her.)

  • Answer:i found some today i say just leave them i read that the mother comes to feed them then leaves to be honest we have to let nature be nature

  • I rescued a bunny once, our dogs stirred up a nest and the bunny was just about at our back door, the dogs were going nuts and got one of them.

I thought he would die, we fed him sugar water until with an eyedropper with a water pic gum tip until he could eat.

We kept him for six months. He loved to watch TV, food channel and Disney I guess he liked the colors.

He is free and lives not to far from our house, we see him occasionally. He name.....just Bunny. He taught us about love.

  • is pedialyte okay?

  • then what kind of milk do you give to them?

  • It's kitten milkreplacer enriched with electrolytes and vitamin supplements. Definitely NEVER EVER give any animal cow's milk. They WILL get diarrhea and if they are already weak, it'll kill them.

  • Nice one, encouraging people to collect wild rabbits. I am sure you know that wild rabbits, esp cottontails, rarely survive even in experienced hands.

  • this is a REHABBER not a collector. READ the accompanying information. this place does rehab and release back into the wild.

  • look at his wittle mouth when he chews! damn that's adorable

  • Oh frikin cute!!

  • Yes, I'm a wildlife rehabilitator. I rescue orphaned and injured small wildlife and release them to the wild again when they are ok.

This is not milk, it's milk replacer..one word of caution: NEVER EVER give a mammal cow's milk! It will give the animal diarrhea and 90% die of dehydration.

  • Heh, sitting in the milk!

  • heh, looks liek someone spoiled the milk =) , and their fur was sooo milky =)

  • SO FUCKING CUTE.
