Did Adam get beat up alot at HS? I don't think he did. Therefore he was not unpopular. He probably was the lead guy in the play at HS.

Well also, you know how at the end of high school, all of a sudden people just get along better? It is probably a combo of that and the fact that these 2 people are probably in the arts as well so they know Adam more. I am sure he is not the "cool jock" kid. He probably was unaware at how even though he was different his beautiful spirit shone through even then. He probably didn't realize how likeable he was ya know?

im not popular at school.but that doesnt mean i dont have friends or that people dont know who i am.

just doesnt mean im in with the cool groups and someone who everyone wants to be.

as adam says in a later interview "it's not that they didnt like me, its that they did GET me"

Adam said that he wasn't popular in High School. He appears to be pretty popular in High School. He sings in graduation, his name gets mentioned here, people watch him doing drama/theater at school. If that is not popular, then I don't know what you call those students who do not ever get mentioned in anything and never perform or speak in front of a group or audience. Losers? Adam was popular in HS. I don't know why he is saying he wasn't. Maybe he is thinking he was not popular enough.

I think what Adam meant when he said he wasn't popular in high school was that he didn't belong to the 'popular group' like the jocks kind...

Adam was not popular but many knew him because of his musicals and talent, people said he was known as the music guy in school...
